The Motorcycle Diaries made me cry, if I haven't mentioned it before.

And "Time of Your Life" even moreso no than before. It was the first song I heard on the radio after my grandfather died, as I've said before. Well, my grandmother, who has been very ill in hospital for about 5 weeks, passed away early this morning. My mom called at about 630 am, and after I talked to her, my sister and my boss, I realized I couldn't go back to sleep because I was too upset. So I turned on MuchMusic and what video came on? That's right. I lost it.

And now I'm twice as sorry to hear that now. Somebody needs a hug.

I just downloaded a video of pictures from 9/11 and Pink Floyd's "Goodbye Blue Sky" as the backround music. It really hit me hard.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother, MHG. Just think she isn't in pain anymore.
*gives MHG a big hug.

I have cried during movies:
Fellowship of the Ring: When Gandalf dies (or falls) and everyone is crying silently to the music.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: When Cedric Diggory dies, and his father is screaming over his lost son.
Star Wars: Ep III

I've cried once when reading a book:
Red sky in the Morning: I guess none of you have read this, but the ending made me cry.

Also, I've cried when listening to some music.

I cried at the end of Finding Neverland. That was such an amazing movie.

And I pretty much cry at the end of any book I read where a character dies. I'm such a crybaby.

I cry at pretty much everything. Listing all the movies/TV shows/books I've cried at would probably fill a novella. I've even cried at some video games! Those, though, are small enough that I could list, as they're only three in number. :P

-The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, where Link leaves the forest and Saria looks wistfully after him. The first video game to make me cry, and like a faucet at that! And I'm not the only one, since I've heard lots of other people admit to crying at this scene.
-Majora's Mask, when Pamela and her father are reunited. That got me going pretty bad too. It didn't get me when I played the game in Japanese, but in English, where Pamela says, "Nothing, just a bad dream..." got me.
-Metroid Fusion. Yes, Metroid Fusion. Near the end, where Samus offers to sacrifice herself if it will stop the X. That got me good too. But then I laughed when Adam proposed his alternate plan. I guess I'm changeable. XD

*About crying over video games*

I've kinda cried over a video game. When I was little, my cousin and I would play The Lion King game for my Sega Genesis. We played that game for HOURS. We tried and tried and tried. After years and years (actually, more like days) we stood triumphant, gazing down at our smitten Sega, wollowing in our glory. We cried tears of happiness.[/end that speel]
Yeah anyway, we beat the game finally. It was a happy moment. :)
And have...um...cried during certain movies. Actually, I didn't cry. I just shed a tear. Yeah. :p

When I was little, I would always cry when I watched this Peter Rabbit video when Peter was lost and couldn't get out of Mr. McGreggor's garden. *sniff*

That's all I can think of. I sometimes almost cry when I watch some movies. Like the Chronicles of Narnia. I *almost* sorta did.

Yes, I wouldn't be able to name them though. Cause I can't remember them. The only one I can think of is The Green Mile.

I got that weird sinking feeling in my stomach when I saw Ryaconning for the first time, because (spoiler alert for the few of you who haven't seen the episode)

Quote:
Rya gets turned into a real human woman, but she gets stabbed, and because she's a real person and not just a virtual manifestation, she dies for real.

I didn't cry, I was just going, "Holy crap, that did NOT just happen.".

(Weirdly enough, I had just started getting into the series.)

Oh, and another song that makes me sad: "I've Got A Match" by They Might Be Giants. It's one of the few TMBG songs that's just plain sad, with no real humor. It's a beautiful song, one of my favorites, but it's sad.

Same here. I have the move myself. I can say that, I suffered the worst depression in my life after seeing that movie. I couldn't sleep for two days straight, and I don't know if I could even see that move a second time.

P.S. The girls name is Setsuko.

I've never cried at a movie or song before, but I was so sad during episode III of star wars, when the jedis were being betrayed.

I DID, however, cry when my cat was lost, and a week later when it stil wasnt back.

Yeah, I cried when Aslan died. >.> Oddly it was the only part of the movie that got me emotional at all.

I will say, however, that the movie that I think I cried the most at was, is, and forever will be Lilo & Stitch. I can make myself choke up by just thinking about this:

Quote:
This is my family. I found it, all on my own. It is little, and broken. But still good.

I also cried at the song "Hanging by a Moment" by Lifehouse the first time I heard it. It's one of the sweetest song I think I know. If I were to be serenaded by moonlight, that's the song I'd pick.

I'm desperate for changing,
Starving for truth,
I'm closer to where I started,
Chasing after you.
I'm falling even more in love with you,
I'm letting go of all I've held on to.
I'm standing here until you make me move,
I'm hanging by a moment here with you.

*sniff*[/quote]

No songs have ever made me cry. None that I can think of.
When I think about the lyrics to "They'll Need a Crane", it makes me sad. But that's all I can think of.

What about "I've Got A Match"? That's probably the saddest TMBG song ever. "I've got a match, your embrace and my collapse..." It's such a sad song.

I'm not much of a crier, but I did cry at the end of "All Quiet on the Western Front".

i've never actally cried during anything like that, but i got darn close during "Click" the other day. I thought it was going to be a comedy, and then it got really sad at points. like, i felt my eyes begining to water.
