I guess it's a self-emasculating kind of day, so I thought I'd post some of my guilty pleasures. The rule here is that you can't make fun of or disparrage anybody or their guilty pleasure. Think of it like confession. Oh, and keep it clean.

Avril Lavigne
She's gorgeous, has a great voice, and you can't go wrong with Canadian girls. Sure her music is overproduced, but it's entertaining and with a few exceptions it's a lot less shallow than most of what's on the radio. People call her a poser, but she's never claimed to be "punk" (though I don't know if as much could be said of her record company), and let's face it: if she's a poser, she's a darn cute one, and I just can't stay mad at that. Oh, and what's more, my old boss plays hockey with her on occasion.

Gilmore Girls
I love this show, and it's not solely because of the goddesses Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham. If you've ever seen the show you'll know that the dialogue is absolutely fantastic (in the Saddam-al-Qaeda-link kind of way, not the Homestarrunner.com way), but that's what makes it fun. It does get too soap-opera-y at times, and fairly predictable, but I can't find a real reason not to like this show.

Okay, now I feel weird. Help me feel less weird by sharing your own guilty pleasures.

Me, mine is that I love to eat. I mean, if there are and sorts of treats in and around my house, they will be eaten. Luckily I have a fast metabolism, and work out.

Ur- uh- bl- ACK!
Mature Mangas...
Sometimes I go to the library and read mangas over my age level, like, my mom says I can only read 10 and under...Yes, I know I'm over ten, but manga has pretty weird junk these days. Anyway, sometimes I pick up 13+, or even rarly 18+ mangas, just because 10 and under sometimes bore me. There's a lot of *bad* things, there, but I am a manga obsessive, and can't bear to read only boring ones.
I'm done.

My guilty pleasure is watching teen titans. Don't tell anyone.

I love that show too. Just got done watching it, in fact...

Mine would have to be... feet.
Don't know why, but I like chicks' feet...

But there are two counter-reasons:
Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham

And did I mention Alexis Bledel?

I've got to agree that Gilmore Girls is an enjoyable show, and when my sister got the DVD set of season 2, it just got better. Reminds me a lot of the West Wing and Angel.

One of my pleasures is putting off homework until the wee hours of the night, like I'm doing now.

Hmm, no, I haven't.

I still find it weird that Alexis Bledel is older than me. Every time I look at her I feel like some sort of dirty lecher 'cause she looks like she's 16. But then again, so does my girlfriend, and she's 21.

So? I do the easy stuff at home at night and leave the hard (15+ minutes) homework to do in homeroom. I've got 25 minutes and would do nothing anyway.

My guilty pleasure is napping. With 0500 wake ups, mech. engineering schedule, sports concessions, art, and getting around campus, sleep is rare. Naps are highly um awexomable.

This forum is too.

I procrastinate because of the forum, too.

In fact, I should be sleeping right now. But I'm not.

Anyway, my guilty pleasure is webcomics. I read all I can find.

....FOP is a guilty pleasure for you? Newsflash; the group it's aimed at could never undertand a quarter of the clever references they make in that show :P

You're 19 ramrod.

I think that we all are like that if we read or watch something that is above our age limit.

Me too. I love that show, and I never tell anyone. If I hear some of the people talking about it at school I almost pop in and say "Oh, that was Luke, I think," but then I stop and realize they would laugh at me for the rest of the whole friggin' junior-high year.

Hmmm... guilty pleasures, huh? Okay, I'll bite.

Reality TV. I am hooked on Survivor and The Amazing Race. Okay, the Race is not so much guilty, because I'm not ashamed that I watch it. I think it's the best reality show out there, because it's not just about stupid gossiping and crap like that. It's a hard game to play, and I think it's super cool. Now Survivor, on the other hand, is all about stupid gossiping and crap like that. But I've been hooked since season 3, and I can't help it. I even have the DVDs of the All Star season. Aaaand I'll admit that during school I would occasionally watch those dumb plastic surgery shows, or the ones where the nanny comes to get your kid in line, or where moms go live with other families. Sometimes you just need to watch something mindless, and those shows fit the bill.

Gwen Stefani. Her new CD is totally not something that I would ever listen to or even consider attempting to tolerate if it were anyone else. But she's just so cute that I can't help but love her. I haven't bought the CD yet, but I turn it up whenever it's on the radio (and my radio-listening is rare).

Chef Boyardee. I know, it's gross, but I can't help giving in once in a while. I used to have mini ravioli for lunch almost every Saturday when I was little, and, when I'm feeling nostalgic (or just too lazy to cook a real meal), it's nice. Even though it's gross.

I'm sure there are more, but I think I've divulged enough for now.

Shishu Hiwatari, I guess Farily Odd Parents isn't a guilty pleasure per se. Yes, I actually think most of it wouldn't be understood by the target audience (kids).

This forum is one of my guilkty pleasures. Instead of writing an paper, I'm here. Instead of doing work for a class, I''m here. But not like there's anything wrong with that per say.

Well, I guess I'll have to throw in my own crap.....

Hilary Duff

Yes, most people say she's some evil Disney girl who wants to turn babies into gold or screw with the weather, but that doesn't stop her from being so purdy. Her music, and acting, is total dung, but her outer beauty makes up for it.....I think........

Teen Titans

To the passer-by, Teen Titans looks like a cheap attempt to rip-off the anime-style of cartoons in order to appeal to a elementry school demographic and sell some action figures. While it's probably true, the difference between TT and other attempts to copy the anime style is that TT actually does a good job. The makers have managed to combine elements of Western culture with the irresistable chibi-style anime without screwing things up. Sure, it ain't as good as some of the other DC television outings, but how can you not love the Newfu episode?

That's all I can[/b]

Someone understands! She's gotten a lot better looking since she's dropped the punkish look, it just wasn't her.

Angel and Buffy
I watch these shows whenever they are on, the acting is good and stories are fun and watchable. I confess to some leching over Sarah Michelle Geller but it's only about 5% of why I watch it.
