Personally I don't think you should worry about it, since it's not your place to tell people to stop. Sure it may be getting you frustrated, but they can change it if they want.

As long as it somewhat resembles their regular name, I don't think it matters.
Just a bit of harmless fun with a theme

Count to ten slowly. Works every time.

That, or throw something through your window.

I think that eventually I'll be the only one left who still has his or her original user name.

Don't be so sure: I've had a misspelled name for more than a year and have yet to change it (permanently).

But yuo still changed it, even for a short period of time.

I don't expect to be switching mine too drastically. From time to time the number after is probably gonna change, depending on what I feel. Usually has some weird relavance. Really though it seems easy enough to know who someone is. Although in the caption below it's nice to put something like "formerly known as...".

Name-chaning is so overrated...I don't really mind when other people do it, but I ain't conforming for nobody...

Well now that the robot madness is over the name changes should be less frequent.

Maybe, or maybe people will continue to change to a completely different name to confuse others.

At the risk of suggesting something very Prince, it would be nice if the person mentioned in their signature or after their location something like "Formerly Known As: [insert former name here]" (or FKA...or something more witty..."The User Formerly Known As:"). I like to know who I'm talking to.

Or if they posted it here by saying something along the lines of

I think this would be a good place to de-confuse people about the name changing. And besides, most of the name-changing that went on yesterday wasn't that bad. You could still tell who everyone was. But we should still make sure everyone knows who we are if a lot of us decide to change our names again.

It was robot day, you didn't get the memo? And I think the name changing crown still belongs to Melonade <insert another word here>. He's gone through at lease 4 or 5 name changes.

The only time I'll ever change my name is on April Fool's Day.

I've had the same name since I joined the forum.

I don't think anyone should get mad, or even upset, about people changing their names. I mean, come on, it was funny. Even if it wasn't funny, there's no point getting mad. It's the internet, things don't have to make sense.

Just chill, dude. Go outside and stare at a tree for a couple hours. If it doesn't calm you down, at least you'll be able to say "I stared at a tree for a couple of hours" when someone asks you the dumbest thing you've ever done to pass time.

I'll always be porplemontage. Unless it's Surprise Robot Invasion Day or something like that, but I'll always change back.

I like simple names. Mine will probably only change temporarily for a practical joke, if ever at all.

Whatever. I think NeverhoOligin sounds better, but it's your name.

If anyone is confused about my usernames (I have no idea why you would), here's a handy-dandy flowchart...

THE BURNiNATOR*>The Experimental Film>whenMickeyATTACKS**>The Experimental Film>The ExpFilm, v2.0***>The Experimental Film>General ExpFilm****>The Experimental Film

*My first username, put the wrong email in, had to make a new profile.
**April Fool's Joke.
***Just felt like it.
****For the Robot Wars.

A name flow-chart, eh TEF? Yeah, I got one of those:

*My original name, changed when I found out that there was a "The Yellow Dart" already registered.

It's all because of that "rate your username" topic. Someone said you could change your username, and then everyone did it.
Stop looking at me.
