On Sundays, which is the only time I read comics, we get Blondie, The Family Circus, Sally Forth, Garfield, FoxTrot, Dilbert, Rhymes with Orange, Snuffy Smith, Hagar the Horrible, Jump Start, For Better or For Worse, Prince Valiant, Curtis, Cathy, Baby Blues, Marvin, Heathcliff, and probably some others that I can't remember off the top of my head.

My grandmother's newspaper has Get Fuzzy, The Born Loser, Bizarro, Grand Avenue, Agnes, Pooch Cafe, Piranha Club, and others, some that aren't in my newspaper, some that are.

You know what annoys me? You have to pay ucomics ten bucks before they'll let you see any comics past two weeks ago. And the archives at garfield.com take too long to peruse. It sucks.

EDIT: TOTPD!!!
:eekdance: :eekdance: :eekdance:

ANOTHER EDIT: Oh yes, our newspaper also has Beetle Bailey, Classic Peanuts, and Mary Worth. Yee-haw.

We get all of those except Dilbert (only on Saturday, like I said), Rhymes with Orange, Jump Start, Curtis, Baby Blues, Heathcliff (again, only Saturday), Get Fuzzy, Bizarro, Grand Avenue, Agnes, Pooch Cafe, and Piranha Club.

Are they any good? Oh, and we never had Calvin and Hobbes, either.

I've read it. It's one of the better comics around.

Sort of. Rhymes with Orange and Agnes are occasionally funny, Jump Start, Baby Blues, and Curtis are "family" cartoons, but they're not nearly as funny as FoxTrot, Get Fuzzy is usually hilarious, Bizarro and Piranha Club are pretty funny most of the time, Grand Avenue sucks, and Pooch Cafe reminds me too much of the other billions of doggy comic strips.

I'm writing an Internet paper about why Calvin and Hobbes is the most popular comic strip ever. So far I've only planned out the section with obvious references and influences in other comics (i.e., "Big Nate", "Frazz", and once in "Pearls Before Swine"). If I ever finish, I'll post it here.

I think that Calvin and Hobbes and Far Side are two of the greatest comics strips that were ever made. Too bad they don't make new ones.

I'd give both my little toes if Gary Larsen would make new, good Far Sides for the next twenty years.

I love that freakin' comic. I want to get the leatherbound edition with every comic, but it's like $200.

Yeah, I'll just buy the normal one. It's so freaking heavy it should be considered a weapon of like, massive disturbance.

Lucky me. My dad's favorite comics are Calvin and Hobbes, The Far Side, and Bloom County. So we have every single CaH book, all the TFS Galleries, and all but two of the Bloom County books.

I'm special.

It's like we're brothers or something.

You can be the lost Kirby twin. I'll be the other Zelda twin.

Anyone ever read Zits? That's a good comic strip, but it might be New England only.

I like Zits because it's a scarily accurate depiction of my brother.

I've read Zits once or twice, but I can never remember whether I'm thinking about it or Baldo.

Zits is the one with the blond guy, right?

*a-HEM* I believe you forgot Calvin and Hobbes.

But yeah, FoxTrot is great. Not Foxtrot, FoxTrot. {singing} Whatever happened to capitalization... it used to be so cool...

[Edit: D'OH! Next time read the WHOLE THREAD! Bad Einoo, BAD Einoo! I don't get a ding.]

I dunno, but I absolutely hate Baldo. As for NE only, we don't get Zits in MA (as far as I know), so...I dunno.
