In an attempt to increase activity in the #hrwiki chat channel, we're scheduling a chat party this afternoon/evening. Here are the times:

3:00 to 5:00pm PST, 4:00 to 6:00pm MST, 5:00 to 7:00pm CST, 6:00 to 8:00pm EST

Tom and I are usually lurking in the chat channel during the daytime, so if you want to come in anytime today, we'd love the company.

It looks like a lot of people are busy. Well, since I already put this up, we'll still do the party tonight. Perhaps next time we should pick a different day of the week, though? What are Mondays or Tuesdays like for everyone? I'd love to make this a weekly thing.

If you schedule it...they will come!

Seriously, I think you should just pick a day (or maybe two?); if people really wanna come, they'll make the effort.

I'll try to jump on - I've had trouble getting the chat thing to work in the past!

weekdays are usually busy, I think friday is a good day.

There is a fix for MAC OS X users:

Update to last Mac OS X, and update java to 1.4.2 Update 2

then you will need this firefox plugin

as there is bug in firefox that will use older java plugin 1.3.1 that comes with 10.3.6 mac os x.

to see plugins that you have installed, type into the browser address bar, the url about:plugins

This fix is supplied by crow.

The next ones will probably be Mondays from 6-8pm eastern time, which is 11pm-1am GMT

btw, wasn't there a chat button at the top of each page on the forum a long time ago? or else, will there be one?

Maybe we should have another party. And not on short notice like the one on Friday. That way we could have more people come.
