By any chance is there anywhere on the web I can host a wiki for free? I have several I've been wanting to create. - Kef |

- Kef With my experience wth web hosting I've generally found that free is not as good as non-free. When you pay for something, you get much better support from the hosting company. Basically, you are getting what you pay for. One of the accounts I have is a free hosting account, mostly just for testing stuff, and their customer support is an online FAQ that is never updated. They also have a form you can fill out with questions you pick from a drop-down list. Then they email you the part of the FAQ that deals with the question you chose. Now, this is only one example, and it's only what I've experienced. There could be good ones out there. I can't really suggest anything about free wiki hosting, but I found a list. Check here for a nice listing of Wiki Farms. The free ones are at the top. |

For the time being I decided to go with http://moinmoin.riters.com, though I don't really like moinmoin. For small-scale stuff I might use swiki. http://moinmoin.riters.com/gameinfo/ |

Way to resurrect a thread that's almost two years old
Yes, I'd recommend Wikia, too, and I use them myself now. I'd also recommend not using swiki under any circumstances, because it seems to me they're incompetent at best (last I checked). - Kef |

Well, most of the good threads are in the back pages, due to the incredibly poor taste of some users.

![]() How is a two year old thread asking for help "really good?" And what do you find so bad about our current topics? |
