I like it a lot actually. It's just so addictive after you start playing it. Anyway, post your opinion on Animal Crossing.

Oh, yeah, it rocks.

I can't wait for the DS version to come out.

Although I've got three different release dates: July, November, and sometime in Q4.

I'm going with the first one, they said that in Nintendo Power.

I own it, but can't stand it.

Not at all. Luckily, I have little siblings who love it.

I loved Animal Crossing. But, I kinda cheated.
It still took me forever to pay it all off, though.
So...addicting...

Cheating is fun.

And by cheating, I mean using "universal codes". Or something like that.

:p

Don't worry, I cheat too. I get the 100 turnip codes and such. And I don't think the DS version is coming out in July if the wi-fi service isn't coming out until around the 3rd quarter(if I believe people).

I played it and was addicted for a very long time. My big brother, who had the best account, got a full payed-for house and every NES game (except for PunchOut, because you have to buy that one with real money.)

The only cheat we used (and we used it a lot) was the time travel cheat, where you skip through the day.

Do you mean where you set the Gamecube clock ahead or is there a glitch that I haven't heard of?

It was fun when I first got it. I'm sure I'm not the only one who got bored with it.

I used to play it, but I like Harvest Moon much better. The DS one should be pretty cool, though.

You're not.
I got bored with it for a while. But then one day I put it back in the cube, and played it. Then I was hooked again. This cycle would repeat many times.
So, you are not alone.

What cheats are there, and how do you use them?

There are several cheat codes you can use to get items, go to any good cheat website like cheatplanet.com or gamefaqs.com to find them. You can also change the gamecube clock to go ahead/back a few days/weeks/months/years.

And who else knows how to get $13300 out of the rocks every day?

I play that game daily. In fact, sometimes I have worries about not having played the previous day.

Did he have Zelda? It exists, but it's VERY VERY VERY rare in Animal Crossing. I can't wait until AC2!

How do you get Zelda? I thought it was a false rumor, like Sonic & Tales for SSBM.

Well, my favorite cheats are when you go to Tom Nook's store and type in passwords for items. After you reach the limit of items each day you just save and exit then come back to your town. With those types of cheats I paid off my entire debt.

I do know how to do that too. Dig a hole around a random rock and hit it with a shovel or ax (I like the ax because it feels faster)

I didn't even know zelda was in this game. I thought I had all of them except Mario Bros. Oh well, now I have a dream to get Zelda.

My sister paid off her house before me...

I hate that I love it, really. Mostly because the game doesn't seem like much, but it is SO DARN ADDICTIVE. I really love the fishing... I just do!

I would love the Mario Bros. and Zelda games. How do you unlock them? And any other really "rare" ones?

^^ I'm pretty sure you need those stupid EReader cards to get them.

I played this game every day for like three months and then got really really bored with it. I haven't played it in about a year now.

Uhghgh... This game. It. Drives. Me. Crasy. It's sooo stupid. with the mushroom laughing, and the stupid little animals, I mean, come on! I'd rather be playing Halo, or starcraft, or.... pacman, for all I care. Anything is better than animal crossing, sell it, and get Super Smash Bros. or something.

I used to play it all the time....until my sister deleated my account, my gamecube was sent to the dungeons of my storage room (Halo overtook my life  ), and some other thing happened.....but, yeah, that game kicked butt. I can't wait for AC DS where I can start all over again!

I'm not sure how the whole wifi thing works, but can you visit any town? If so maybe we H*R fans can visit eachother!
(P.S: I'm calling my town....STRONGBADIA!)

I've heard from IGN that you get to create a buddy list thing that allows players to access your town and vise versa. Only 4 people can be at a town at once though I think. That's actually a smart move from Nintendo because if they let everyone be able to go to someone's town then it would be a wasteland from tree chopping and hole digging.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I also like the world-like scrolling for the DS version because it makes you feel like you're not on just flat land.

To quote TBC, "It's like video game crack!" Not that I know what crack is like.

ANYways, I LOVE this game. Too bad I lost my copy... :(( :(( :((

The only thing I remember really clearly about that game is how the villagers would get mad at you for not showing up for a long time.
My favorite villager was Cody, the blue teddy bear. He was awesome.

I used to play a lot, but I stopped playing and now I'm scared to go back, face the cockroaches, angry villagers, mail and all kinds of crap I missed out on. It was fun though.

Yes, that was one thing I hated.
Going back after a year or so.
GAH! I hated those stupid weeds!
