Okay, something recently came to my attention. There is no name for the music from right now. Like in 2050 what are they gonna calll music from now.
The radio guy would be all "Music from the forties, thirties, twenties, and that music inbetween 2000 and 2010!"
So what do you think music from right now should be called in like fifty years?

The radio DJ's (if they exist) will probably call this decade the 2000's.

Technically it would be music from the 00's. Because especially if they're looking back they'll be listening to 50's music.

I've heard some people call this decade the "noughties", coz it has two noughts (zero's).
Makes sense I think.

I have yet to really hear any new music ("new" being the key word) worth talking about in 50 years. :) With the exception of 2-3 albums, most of the junk I have heard on the radio is just that.... junk.

So I don't think the radio DJ's will call it anything... because they won't be playing it :)

Ok... I think it will probably be something along the lines of "the oughts" or "the noughts", however you spell it.

Wikipedia calls this decade the 2000's. So do I.
