And if you do make it to the audition, here are some hints:
-The questions on the initial test are always harder than the ones on the show.
-They can ask some pretty random stuff. But don't try to stuff your brain with as many random facts as possible the week before. This is "you know it or you don't" stuff.
-Be as friendly as possible. They're more likely to pick someone the audience will enjoy watching play.
-Have as much fun as possible. Honestly, they like to see someone who isn't nervous: just there to have some fun.

(I'd tell you guys how I know this, but you probably wouldn't believe me.)

Hey dude, good luck. If you do get on, I'll probably see you, since my Dad always watches Jeopardy and I usually do, too. It would be cool if you could sneek in a H*R reference during the show, maybe just an obscure little quote...

Maybe I'll write my name like the HR logo one game. ROUND 2: During the audition process, potential contestants write down 5 anecdotes to talk to Alex about. I'll make sure to include HR in one of them!

Looks like no Jeopardy! this year. No contact...nothing. I just watched all the tournament reruns this summer. I now have a habit when I watch Jeopardy; I hold a fat clicky pen in my hand & "ring in" when I answer, so it's even more like playing along. It's like a new reflex. Meh, I'll try out sometime.

They are showing the entire Ken Jennings run on Jepardy. That should keep them busy for at least to and a half months.

Actually, my local station is carrying a sort of "best of" Jennings-his first game, breaking the $1 million & $2 million marks (maybe the $2.5 million), & his infamous loss.
