It's a downloadable program, and it's free, and file sharing is illegal. So we're not going to talk about that.

Oh. You mean when the translation process waters the anime down. I see. I originally thought you were talking about when American animation companies do a poor job of trying to imitate the manga/anime style. Like in Teen Titans.

Wow, I wasn't expecting this to ever come back.

I agree that dubbing's not too great. I'd rather see subtitles. But keep in mind that dubbing isn't the only thing that happenes in the Americanization process. ;)

Look for fansites, they usually have links to places where you can download everything.

No problem man, I think it's everyone's right to be able to download un-edited anime.

I'm the only one who doesn't care, aren't I? All the animes I've ever watched or currently watch (very few), the dubbed versions seem fine. In fact, I usually don't even watch the Japanese versions, I only do when my brother watches them (due to being bored, NOT because he actually hates the dubbed versions so much. Also they're on DVDs rather than being illegally downloaded). Also- not ONE person seems to realize this- 4Kids dubs anime FOR KIDS, not for anime obsessors who want to move to Japan. If nobody gets the rights to it first, tough for you. You people seem to be fine with watching the Japanese subtitles anyway, why do you cared how a dubbed anime turns out?

I'm done now.

cause animations are the're own form of art, we dont like some 4kids company ruining art.

not cool, just cause we like anime dosnt mean were japanophiles.

Why watch the rest when you can get the best? America edits out a lot of the blood (which doesn't do much for me anyway) and some of the major plot advances (if it's seen as unfit for america's kids' virgin eyes) and some of the more perverted humor (which I happen to like).

Coolguy, that's already been established, I'm just pointing out you people seem to be fine with the subtitles anyway that you shouldn't care whether it's dubbed just to your liking or not.

Well then tough luck. Also, what was with that remark about the "American virgin eye?" You do realize that there are many more suicides in Japan than there are in America, and there are a lot more homocides than there should be for a country that small. People automatically assume TV is either the biggest factor or had nothing to do with any suicides/homocides, but have you ever thought of the fact that it could be a contributing factor, especially when you consider how much blood an average kids show can have in Japan? Many people are claiming TV's getting a lot worse, yet you people don't even care how bad (not quality-wise, but violence/sexual-wise) anime is, you just want it in it's original form. So which is it?

P.S. This whole post is reffering to 4Kids' translation, which, like I said, is meant for kids, not you guys.

I'm middle of the road on subtitles, I started out on them but I could always do without them because sometimes I'm just too lazy to want to read it. If I had the money I'd go out and get me some of those unedited but dubbed animes, but they're really expensive for someone without a job.

If you're old enough to want to watch unedited anime this bad, you should be old enough to get a job.

It isn't horrible, it just isn't all family friendly. And yes, I wish I did have a job that didn't interfere with school.

I know it's not horrible, but the violence/sexual content is basically somewhere between the Simpsons and South Park. And it's definently closer to South Park.

It all depends on the type of anime, some is taimer than others.

Like I've mentioned many times previously, this is reffering to the 4Kids dubs.

But when they're dubbed they're meant for wee ones, so kids in America can see the television shows they watch in Japan, editing them to meet America's television guidelines. I'm glad they do this so younger kids can grow up with anime (like I did with Pokemon).
