Okay, so I've been on this crazy Oldschool kick lately. I just purchased Mario Paint for the SNES! Booya, baby! So, what're your favorite old school video games? I've also been playing Parasite Eve lately. Fun! |

Last night I played through Megaman 4 in its entirety. I have now beaten all 6 NES Megamans. They would be my favourites. |

Yeah, I like taking couple hours out of the day to beat a game. I beat Super Bomberman on the SNES a couple days ago. |

I love Old Skool games. They're in some cases better than modern games. I still play Goldeneye every day. And once a year, like clockwork, I fire up the ol' Earthbound. Ahh, good times, good times... |

![]() That's cool and all, but I prefer using the original controller. I mean, I have Ocarina of Time on the gamecube, and it's cool and all, I guess...but it doesn't FEEL right. I need that wierd uncomfortable controller to make it right! |

I want to get an original Nintendo and buy the original Super Mario Bros. Trilogy, and play them until my fingers bleed. |

If you have an SNES, you could get them in one fell swoop with Super Mario All-Stars That has Mario 1,2,3, and some other REALLY hard japanese mario game. And the graphics are enhanced to SNES level. But then again, you might like using the oldschool NES controller. |

Oh, man. The Lost Levels is just painful to play. Freshman year of college my roommate and I played through the whole thing in one sitting. That was one long, painful sitting. I still remember us calling to our R.A., a Mario master, in desperation.. "Paul! Pauuuuulll!!" |

IJ, the link you posted isn't entirely true. Nintendo hasn't made any actual statements yet to prove that article correct. Yes, it's a possibility, but they haven't made any official comments to these rumors. Keep in mind that Famitsu isn't a magazine published by Nintendo. And even if it was, Nintendo still has the power to alter the prices, if any at all. Toast. I personally like SMB3. Quite possibly the best sidescroller of all time. |

Yeah, lost levels was a real pain, for sure. I remember avoiding every warp I could to get to level 9... I don't think I ever made it to the A-D levels... Man, I'm-a gonna have to fire up my SNES now. |

Argle! The Lost Levels! I got extremely frustrated with it. One of the best games, in my mind, was Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for the SNES. It was awexome! |

Okay, for those of you who have been living under a rock the last 6 months, my favorite old school game is Pac-Man. It's so simple, yet so addictive and really, really fun. But basically, I like all old school video games, like Galaga, Mappy, Space Invaders, and Super Mario Bros. I have one o' those TV Plug n' Play things, this one to be specific.
And it's awesome. It's more fun than playing the old games on a Game Boy, because of the joystick. But anydangway, I've always thought old school games were better than newer games. They focus less on graphics, and more on fun! |

The oldest thing I have is a GBA, unofortunately.... The closest thing I own to an NES game is Dr. Mario for the Gameboy Advance. And I love it. Very addicting. |

I never expected you to be able to download the games for free. I'm sure they will be pretty cheap, but why would they let you download every single old game for free? Right now I'm playing through Lemmings 2 for the SNES. I'm 91% done. |

The origional Legend of Zelda has got to be one of the greatest games of all time. I also found this program that lets you use the game engine from the first zelda to make your own zelda games: Zelda Classic |

Yee-hah. Downloaded that. Oh, and I have an incredibly old Pac-man portable LCD-screen arcade cabinet. It shuts down after 3 seconds of gameplay, however. |

Kirby Superstar for the SNES was freakin aaaawesome. I'm replaying it in ZSnes as of currently. I'm about 80% done, now I need to run through all the episodes again and get everything. I do recall being about 86% done at one point, but I can't find that collection of savestate.
As for PC, nothing beats the original 2 Prince of Persia games. I'd really like for someone to finish reverse-engineering PoP2 so we can create custom levels for that too. |
