I'd bring a cell phone, money, and airline tickets so so I could take a plane to get off of there.

That's a good idea. But why are we on the island in the first place?

But if you're on an isolated island with no one else around, what good are tickets or money going to do? You won't be able to go and buy food or anything, and there's not going to be an airport you can use the tickets at...

Good point. But what if you called the pilot to come on the island and you show them your airline tickets. Then you hop on.

But it sent you to the wrong place.

I've always thought of the whole 'stranded on an island' concept and people's answers to it to be hilarious. It's not like anybody thinks, "Gee, I think today I'd like to be stranded on a desert island. I wonder what three items I should bring with me? Ooh! Stuff that requires the use of electricity! And money so I could buy airline tickets!" LOL. Man, everyone I know, myself included, would so be screwed if there was a permanent power failure worldwide. :)

Also, I think if it hasn't been done already, someone should REALLY do a Forum fanfic of Lord Of The Flies. I'm not creative enough to do it myself, but it would take this whole concept one step further, and I would so be looking forward to reading it.

Ahhh, now we've entered the land of Abbott and Costello routines.

BUD: Say you're in the, ah, Grand Central Depot in New York City. Now this is simple as any little tot. You're in Grand Central Depot in New York City, and you buy a ticket. Where are you going?
LOU: I'm not going anywhere.
BUD: Then what are you buying a ticket for?
LOU: I'm not buyin' a ticket.
BUD: Then what are you doing in the depot?
LOU: You put me in there.
BUD: Yeah, you see. You argue again. Now take it easy-

AAAAARRRRRGLBLBLBLBLBLBL! TOAST PAINT! TOAST PAINT!

My 3 things:

1. My Bible (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe, IMHO)
2. My glasses (Very useful for starting fires & seeing things)
3. A towel. (Douglas Adams was BRILLIANT!)

Assuming that my glasses are a given, I would include a large roll of duct tape. This roll of gray silver adhesive can be almost as useful as a towel. It can provide protection for the feet (& other clothing), bandaging for wounds, and repairing of shelter on an island.

2. Ian, Anac, Amanda, Francis, Shiv, Miz, Agni, and Ilo so they can bring their stuff too!

3. A couple vending machines, MY KEYBOARD (I can't live without playing piano), and an endless supply of CORNDOGS AND BATTERIES!!!

I'm not sure where you're getting it from Acekirby, but they got it from Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, a pretty cool trilogy. Great sig Einoo! I just finished reading that one. WHAT DO YOU GET WHEN YOU MULTIMPLY SIX BY NINE?

Ah, this is the answer I use whenever someone asks me this.

1. A way to be rescued
2. Something to do while I'm waiting
Hm, I still have one more...
3. Matt Chapman

That was easy!

1. A helper monkey to do my bidding.
2. A laptop (THAT NEVER RUNS OUT OF BATTERIES) to contact the outside world if my monkey bites me.
3. And Photoshop CS, just so I won't get bored.
