Well, my mom got my dad a poster which included all the US headlines that occured on the day the Red Sox won the World Series. I got him a picture of Curt Schilling.

Obviously, my family is Red Sox fans. :)

Dinner at a fancy restaurant. Some oldies CD. Maphisto shoes.

Generally, we don't make a BIG deal out of Father's Day, since my dad's birthday is in the same month.

My dad's birthday is close to Father's Day too-- often falls on the same day. For his birthday, we got him a really nice Skagen watch, and for father's day we got him some books and the Spamalot CD.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!!!!

Well let's see... we went to Chili's with my grandparents, and I got my dad a box of fudge. He's that type of guy; truck driver (gas hauler), so he's not the sports type or anything like that. Ties, games, not really his thing. The thing a lot of people notice about me and my dad is... we look a lot like each other... and I mean A LOT, and we can practically read each other's minds. Seriously, sometimes we even finish each other's sentences. Weird huh? :p It's cool. It's all good. Have a great day everybody!

I got my dad a best of The Who, since he's really into them. He's listening to it now.

My dad's into them too, but he already has that CD, so I couldn't give it to him.
Anyway, after my dad opened his presents (the printer, and an autobiography on Gene Wilder), we watched National Treasure. It's a really good movie.

I was gonna take dad out to eat today, but I had to work. I have to work til 7pm until wednesday, then I'm off til saturday, but he's gotta have surgery, so I won't get to take him out then either. I bought him the first season of Black Sheep Squadron on DVD (AWESOME SHOW!!), and a pressure washer. I figure he'll watch the DVDs while he's on the mend.
I was gonna buy him MacGyver but he saw the Black Sheep set last weekend, and was like "I haven't seen that show in ages.. They should bring it back (It's on the History Channel sometimes, but he's never home to watch it)"
So, ummm, yea. Happy Father's Day...
Funny note, we were having a little Father's Day thing at work, and they were like "congrats to all the dads out there". Then they named all the dads, and somehow my name got on the list. I was like," ummm, not that I know of.."

I got my dad See's candy. Just like every year. And, of course, he gets to share it with us! :)

I got my dad this book, since I had gotten my mom this one and this one for the past two mother's days and the author/photographer finally came out with one for dads. And I also got him a wooden fish thing that says "Welcome" for him to hang on the door at camp. We always get him fish gifts. It's kind of an inside joke that started a long time ago, I forget how.

Seethroo, why weren't you here lording it over us that yesterday was your "special" day? I wouldn't have thought you'd miss an opportunity for having us do your bidding.

Though I guess, as an admin we have to do your bidding anyway, right? Well, happy frikkin' birthday anydangway, ya tyrant.

...So for Father's Day I got my dad a new wallet and a brand new, fancy-shmancy watch. He's had the same old clunky Casio for about 10 years now, and we thought it would be nice to get him a new one. We also took him out for dinner.

It was your birthday? You should have told us so I could avoid getting you something.

Now that the obvious reference is out of the way, happy freakin' B!
