Anyone following the NBA tournament? Anyone at all? I've watched every Pistons game against Indiana and Miami, and most of the ones against Philadelphia. I'm hoping for Pistons v. Spurs in the finals.

I say the Spurs. Toni Parker and Manu Genobli are the X-factors for the Spurs.

SPURS!

SPURS, SPURS, SPURS, SPURS, SPURS, SPURS, SPURS, SPURS, SPURS, SPURS, SPURS, SPURS,
SPURS!

Sorry, maybe I went to far with that.
I don't like basketball as much as I like football, but I still like basketball a lot, and I've been a Spurs fan almost my whole life. Whether they play the Pistons or the Heat, I think the Spurs are going to win. ;)

If the Pistons don't win tonight, I think the Spurs can handle the Heat pretty easily. They shouldn't have as much of a problem with Shaq, because they are a bigger team. I'm definitely not anti-Spurs, they are probably my second favorite team in the NBA right now.

Well, as a Philadelphia area sports fan, it's kinda hard to root for a Larry Brown-coached team because he's a traitor and an idiot ('dueeehhrrrr I didn't know what my job was with the Sixers', 'NO I'M NOT GOING TO CLEVELAND WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT'), and it's hard to root for a team with Glenn Robinson on it if you have any knowledge of how much of a nothing this guy has been in his career recently. So that leaves the Heat, who are a fairly exciting team, and it would be cool to see Shaq win a title without the obnoxious Kobe Bryant around. So go Miami, I guess, even though San Antonio probably will win.

I'm pretty neutral on this one. I'm not a huge Basketball guy. I guess I like the Spurs better though.

DETROIT WINS!!! That was an amazing game. I loved it. I watched every minute of it. This series will be a close one.

Yeah, the NBA Finals should be good. I think that it truly has the two best teams in the league. I hope you'll all join me in cheering the Spurs on to victory!

Spurs, Spurs,
You're the best!
You'll beat the Pistons,
There's no contest!

Yayyyy!

Yeah, I was thinking the Spurs in either 6 or 7, with Tim Duncan winning MVP of the series. I can't wait for the game tomorrow.

Woo-Hoo! For those of you who didn't see it, the Spurs won game one 84 to 69, meaning that they're up 1 game to nothing over the Pistons in the best of seven series.

Wow, I couldn't believe how well the Spurs did during the 4th quarter. Well, Sunday's game 2. Will the Spurs take a demanding 2-0 lead in the series, or will the Pistons tie the series at one game a piece? You'll just have to be there to find out!

You call it Spurs doing well, I call it a Pistons breakdown.

I think the play that defined the second half was when Ginobili drove to the basket and did that reach around dunk. I thought he had a tough layup, and all the sudden he goes and dunks it. But the reason it defined the second half was that it was a perfect example of the Spurs, and especially Manu, taking full advantage of a crumbling defense. They proved that they are too good of a team for the Pistons to beat without giving 100% for the whole game.

Homeschool winner, you're like taking up half the thread with your big ol Spurs pictures; I think three is enough

Oops, I'm really sorry. I wont post anymore pictures. :-S

Anyways, I agree that part of it was the Pistons not playing quite as well, but I think it was mainly the Spurs just playing well. Oh, well. We'll have to wait for game 2.

P.S. Sorry about the pictures. Just trying to show my team colors. It won't happen again. Sorry.

Cool! Major thanks, MHG! That's awesome.

Anyways, I'm hoping that on Sunday, the Spurs will be able to do as well as they did in game 1, but I think the Pistons will be able to bounce back some and have a better game, so my three-star, aluminum foil prediction for this week is:

Spurs:88 , Pistons: 82.

I'm going to have to disagree and predict a Pistons rout: Pistons:82 Spurs 65

Woo-Hoo! For those of you who didn't see it, the Spurs won game 2, 97 to 76. I just watched the game near the end, but in the part of the game I saw, the Spurs really dominated. The Pistons don't seem to be playing as consistantly good as they did in the reggular season.

Now the series is going to Detroit for 3 games. I believe that being at home is going to help the Pistons, and they're going to win 2 of those 3 home games, and the Spurs will come back home and close the series out in 6. My three-star aluminum foil prediction for this week is:

Pistons: 87 , Spurs: 82.

I'm going to be a typical fan and blame everything on the refs. Joey Crawford(a ref) and the Pistons never get along. He was the one who never gave Rip a single call and ended up giving him the technical. On the news last night they said that this year in the playoffs, without the refs we had last night, the Pistons are 11-1, which means that with them, they must be 1-9(I think).
If the Pistons are ever going to win, though, they need to play defense like they did in the first half of game one, and play that way for an entire game.

Yeah, that was a rout. Terrible, terrible defense. The Spurs are too good for the Pistons to play like that and even be close.

Man, I couldn't believe how badly the Spurs played last night. I mean, I thought the Pistons were going to win, but not by that much. Oh, well. We'll have to wait for game 4. I think that the Spurs will be able to bounce back in game 4 and win, so my three-star, aluminum foil prediction for this week is:

Spurs: 94 , Pistons: 89.

I say that the series will head back to San Antonio even at 2-2.

That's not possible, because the next two games are in Detroit, and the last two games are in San Antonio. I predict that the series will head back to San Antonio 3-2, and I think whoever wins tonight's game will have the three wins.
