Y'know how lupin is a werewolve, right? And how Wormtail got the silver hand at the end of the book??And Silver+Werewolve=Dead Werewolve. And one of Harrys friends arent making it out this time. Catch my drift????

And Eldest is coming out??? Crap, i havent started Eragon yet lol...

If this is true I'm gonna punch someone. No way can two books in a row kill off my two favourite characters.

OH MY GAWD TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT IT COMES OUT! Me and my friends were going to dress up as Harry Potter characters and go around the 'hood causing trouble! Anyway, I got a lot of theories regarding Book 6 that I have already debunked when I read through the 5th Book a second time.

Kinda related here...anyone watch The Daily Show? Last night, they did a special on the Harry Potter books with that bald guy from Massachusetts :). Apparently in Vancouver, a book-store owner had sold a few copies early.

Also, the locked books were apparently unprotected against ninjas. Come on Stu, lets go steal us some books!

Some store in BC "accidentally" sold 12 or so copies earlier this week. I don't know how that could possibly be an accident. Our books arrived on a black-plastic wrapped skid, clearly marked "DO NOT OPEN UNTIL JULY 16" or something like that. Even if their books arrived in an unmarked carton, so the story goes, what kind of idiot would put them out in the shelf early? Everyone knows about the laydown date.

Anyway, I start work in about an hour and won't get home until 2 or 3am because of the midnight release. I'm so excited! We have trivia, and games, a scavenger hunt and prizes for the kids, and we'll be dimming the lights and showing the movies. I made a super-cool t-shirt iron-on that says "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good" on the front, and "Mischief managed" on the back. Too bad I'll have to wait for tomorrow to buy my copy, but I won't have a chance to read it between tonight's and tomorrow's shifts anyway.

That's what I was talking about. The Daily Show did a whole thing, "Could it happen here?!", which was hilarious. I don't know if I've ever laughed so hard.

Hope you have a killer time at work (whoa, that feels weird saying) MHG! I wish I could be there.

I've actually never read or seen anything on Harry Potter, but it sounds a-pretty-pretty good. I've been thinking about picking up the first book, but I've been planning to read The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and The Lord of the Rings again for awhile.

I'm pretty excited. I've read all 5 books, and been waiting for this to come out for a while. Hope it's not that long, though. The 5th book already took me 4 months to read.

I made my own T-Shirt for tonights festivities. I bought a pack of iron-on letters (much like the ones on the Vote for Pedro shirt in Napoleon Dynamite, except black) and made a shirt that simply reads "MUGGLE." It's so great.

I'm so excited!

So, it's out, yet I have not bought it, nor will I for at least a year. (For some reason, Dad always buys the paperback British versions instead.) So... since I don't really care, and I won't be reading it for a long time...

SPOIL ME SOME SECRETS!!

Well, I wish I could spoil my own secrets. In all seriousness, if I started at 12:00 a.m., I'd be done at 1:30. No foolin'.

Seriously. I'm a fast reader, I guess.

I got it at Media Play last night. Every line went to friggin' Florida, so I had to stand in line from 12:25 am-1:00 am, but it was worth it! But when I got home I was too tired to read any of it, but I read up to page 25 this morning. The book's interesting so far, but when does Harry actually appear in the book?

I got my copy last night at midnight and I'm currently on page 380.

Yeah I know...I'm a nerd to have been reading it that fast. But so far it's awesome.

:sb: : No, there's no spoilers. I'm not up to it. Go away.

I actually got my copy of HPHBP this morning. I also got "Bart Simpson's Guide to Life". I refuse to yield any big spoilers (yes, there are big spoilers in the first 175 pages), but I will tell you that Fred and George weren't kidding when they were talking about "Troll".

Pre-order arrived today, also picked up a second copy at Zellers for only $15! (How are the bookstores supposed to compete?) I'm three chapters in.
