Post subject:  Sudoku, anyone?
It's time for another one of my "does anyone else do this?" threads. This time, it's sudoku puzzles. They're really fun/addicting! I really can't explain it unless I have one in front of me, so here's the wikipedia example:

Now fill it up so each row, column, and three by three box has all the digits 1-9. And you can't move the ones that are already in place (duh). Dosen't that sound fun? And like something I would waste half an hour doing? For those of you that want more, here's where I get my daily fix. Laters!

Oooh! I did one of those. They are really fun. I beat it with relative ease. I will now try this one. Thanks for posting a link to a site where I can find more of these.

Thanks. Thanks a lot. I printed it out and started it at eleven PM, and found myself staying up until its completion at 12:10 AM, and as such am somewhat tired. Why didn't you tell us they were addictive? YOU'RE GONNA GET YOURS!

I mean, granted, it was foolish to undertake it at that hour, but still... YOU'RE GONNA GET YOURS!

No, seriously, that was awesome. =D I'll have to print out a couple more, as that was quite fun.

I don't have the patience to complete games like that. I would start, and then realize that I'm wasting my time, since I would never get the solution anyway. But, I think I have done one before. I didn't finish it, though. :p

I love Sudoku! They carry it in the Rocky Mountain News here. I have a strategy for playing Sudoku. I go over all the lines with a regular Sharpie. Then I write over the numbers in pen. That way I can draw "scan lines" to eliminate numbers from certain rows or columns.

I read this thread a while ago, and didn't think they were worth trying. However, my friend alex showed me a sudoku game, on miniclip.com, which he said was really good. I tryed a little bit, but then I realised it would be easier to do on paper, so I found a website with daily sudokus you can print out. So, I finished it (took me a hour) and now, seeking more information about em, I remembered this thread, and came to read the entirety of it.

We have a newspaper with daily SuDokus and there have been three full-page articles about it. At first I thought it's gonna be boring, but they're pretty addictive.

This is due for a revival. Our math teacher gave us 2 of them and I am so hooked. I have my own strategy, where I write a little, tiny list of which numbers a box ISN'T in the box, and then once I have an absolute answer for that box I write it in marker so I know it's right and I can't erase it.

I normally do the opposite. I go through every single litle box in rows, and I ask myself "Can this be one? Can it be two?" and then I pencil it in. And when I get an absolute answer, I go back and erase the number from all the other boxes that it affects so it stays up-to-date. Sooner or later, the puzzle is finished. Or I give up. Whichever comes first.

Ah, yes, sudoku! Highly addicting game for me...I've been playing the version on eBaum's World for a while now...though I've been meaning to look for something more challenging.

Ugh, I HATE Real life [s]sudzu[/s] Sudoku. Mostly cause I hate writing. What with the eraseing and sharpening my pencil and my inability to focus on paper for leisure...

Brain Age for DS comes with a bunch of Sudoku puzzles though. It made Sudoku fun for me. Since I can erase anything instantly, and it alerts you if you made a mistake...

Sudoku isn't bad, but I much prefer Kakuro. And I prefer handmade Sudoku and Kakuro over all other Sudoku and Kakuro. :)

Sudoku! Yes! What a wonderful puzzle. I love sudoku. I don't do it much, but I love doing it.

One of my teachers has a giant velcro sudoku board outside her class for people to do themselves in the hall, and she updates it each week or so.

I once attempted a 3D Sudoku. You had to do nine Sudokus, but the numbers one through nine could only appear once in each slot. That, my friend, was evil.
