does anyone else believe madonna was not a good choice to have on the live 8 tour? the self proclaimed "material girl: helping the poor? i just dont see that happening. |

Or read a newspaper. dag_yo: I don't really care for Madonna, but I can say that if, when I'm nearly 50 years old, people are still judging me by things I said when I was 26, it's they who have the problem, not me. If there was one huge mistake involving Live 8, it was MTV's coverage. Letting the models, er, veejays, talk over Pink Floyd's reunion? ARGLBLBLBLBLRLLBLBLB!!! |

I actually thought they were gonna cut off when they showed the VJs right before the second solo on Comfortably Numb. At least they showed the entire set. |

But the whole point was that it was LIVE 8!! They killed the Live part! MTV, I'm never watching you again. Except maybe for Pimp my Ride. |

They said 5 billion people tuned in? I don't believe it, but you never know. I don't think it's possible that 5 out of 6.5 billion people tuned in. Is it? And IJ, if you told FireBird he was spamming, you're messing with his suck-up attitude. Just warning you guys. Inflating his post count...wow. |

I downloaded the Pink Floyd set from Live 8. All I've got to say is this: PINK FLOYD STILL ROCKS! They played like they never broke up, it was great. |
