I haven't remembered a dream in over a year . I just noticed and now I'm scared. Is this like, a psychological problem? I'm mising out on wonders! I've probably saved the world like, three times!

That is pretty common. I can't remember what I had for breakfast, so don't feel bad.

That happens to me too. I can remember some dreams, but I usually forget them by noon if I even remember them at all when I am awake.

I seriously doubt it is a psychological problem.

That's pretty normal.
But if you try to hard to remember then you end up making stuff up.
Situations during the day may trigger your memory.

Dreams are weird. Like, I once had this dream that I was with my dad at a movie theater, but we decided not to see any movie at all because they were all sequels. Isn't it weird, too, when you know that someone is a certain person you know even though they don't look like that person? Dreams are weird.

So? Last night I had a dream in which I was talking on AIM to this girl I liked last year - we had an actual conversation going and such, then suddenly the guy she's going out with now (NO idea why they hooked up) was behind me looking over my shoulder at the conversation.

That's about how random my dreams are.

I've remembered like, 4 dreams EVER, and half of them were nightmares. Especially the one were the made up rugrats monster ate my stummy or when I was in the Tom and Jerry Movie (original) and was inside the burning house. I think the helicopter crashed and I died, but I can't remember.

Yesterday I dreamt that i went outside to see my brother playing with my recently dead dog. So i was rejoicin' and crap...And then i said "Oh wait...sigh...just a dream.." And then i continued to another dream. Something about rock paper scissors and a black polar bear...

I usually remember my dreams in the middle of the day, or sometimes even a couple of days after dreaming it. So I'm weird. I don't care.

I wouldn't worry. Most of the time, if you remember your dreams too often, it means you AREN'T sleeping well. Last night, I had a dream that TWO of my ex's got married (to other people, not each other!!!); one I was happy for, the other I was not....WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN??? :ehsteve:

well, being a professional like myself, I will answer your bafflings. The two exs represent 100 dollar bills. So 200 dollars. Their spouses represent Neil Armstrong landing on the moon, but that isn't important. The marriage itself represent a fine fellow named ...Hmm..a bit fuzzy...Something like Cudt Peta lotrap. Or Dctu Epta Altrop....Somehing like that. Your happiness is the fact that you one a prize of 200$. THe one your are not happy for is the fact that you owe it to that Dutch Shape Payroll....
Something along those lines...

The only way you'll remember a dream is if you wake up in the middle of it. Everyone dreams, but whether or not you remember it all has to do with your sleep cycle. You ought to be happy that you are able to come up from REM sleep every night before waking - it means you're more well-rested.

What in the world are you talking about?

Anyways, usually I'll remember something that happened during my dream, or someone in my dream, but never actually remember what the dream was really about. Also, I usually only remember really cool dreams or dreams that I liked.

I hardly ever remember dreams either. Most of my dreams are too boring to remember.

200 posts!
Woot.

During a 1 year period, I remember maybe 4 dreams. My wife, on the other hand, can tell you what she dreams every night.

Wierd, eh?

You're not a freak, cause if you are, so am I.

And if I'm a freak, you're gettin' BANNED!

Well you know what HelpfulGerome? For around a 9 month period, I remembered roughly 99% of my dreams, and somewhere in there for 3 months, I remembered them each night uninterrupted. And IT IS NOT FUN. Very stressful. Also I do have an overinteractive imagination perhaps, because almost all of the dreams were vivid- full color, sounds, at least 10 separate people in each dream, buildings and streets that I could remember for some time. After you do it that long, you feel like you haven't slept for weeks. Every day it feels like you've been awake 20+ hours, and when you wake up from sleeping, you feel like you need to go to sleep. Mine are usually 5 hours of stimulation and adventure. It's stemmed off in recent months possibly due to reduced stress, but it's still unpleasant. This is disregarding amount of sleep- I'd remember my dreams whether I got 6 or 10½ hours of sleep, as well as everything between.
So in short, for those of you who don't remember your dreams...
Be thankful.
Take it from someone who's been there.
