Well, this is sort of a spin on the classic fanfiction idea, and as such, I decided to put it here in Off-Subject with the other fanfics. However, if the mods think its better suited in Forum Games, then please move it there. Anyway, here's the idea: I give a list of titles for the songs that will be in the musical, therefore giving you the basic idea of the topic of it. Then, you post here to claim the song you want to write lyrics for (this is on a first-post, first-serve basis) and then you begin to write. You must write lyrics that a) match the theme of the song and b) follow the tune of a previously existing song. Not nescessarily a familiar one, but just a previously existing one. In fact, the least familiar the better. For example, using the tune of "Mary Had a Little Lamb" probably won't get you a very high score when the contest starts. The Contest: Once all lyrics for all the songs are in, I will post a poll where the community votes for their favorite one, and I will also judge them myself on a scale of 1 to 10. While it is ultimately my hand that decides who wins, the community favorite shall recieve an honorable mention. The person that wins gets the honor of using its song title the title of the entire musical. Then, once all the songs are in, I will start to weave a story using the material I was given, and add dialogue as well. I will release the script in incraments, like I do with my other fanfiction, SPAM WARS. Hopefully, doing two at the same time will deminish the quality of either, although I may have to take a break from either one or the other from time to time. Here are the songs (feel free to change the titles once you finish your lyrics- these are just to give you the idea for what you're writing): 1. Invisibility (AAAARRRRRGGGGLLLBLBLLBLBL!!!) - Shopiom 2. You know we have a wiki, right? - Duct Tape Patrol 3. Canadiennes Take Over The World 4. President Google and the '04 Wiki Forum Election 5. Lech, Lech, Lech 6. The Reign of Necromancer/Low Rider 7. Toastpaint - Lunar Jesty 8.Top of the Page Dance!!!
9. PockyMania (The TTM Phase) 10. Joiks, Jabips, Poo Chops and Flubbersnicks (The Comeback Game) [/i]11.LOCK'D and BANN'D (The Mod Song) - InvaderTK[/i] 12. Yarr!/Ymm... 13. 509 Error There we go! Claim a song, and then start a-writin'! |

Right, that's AWESOME! I don't think I'm gonna do it, but I will suggest that one of these songs should follow the tune to "Bohemian Rhapsody". What I wish is you'd put these songs and string 'em together somehow to create a script for an actual, honest-to-goodness musical. That would be awexome! |

...Which is what I plan to do after the votes for best song and everything come in! I'll write the script in incraments, and when its done, you'll be able to put it together as an honest-to-goodness musical. And that's the way it is... |

I'd try my hand at this, but I'm not sure if I could write half-decent lyrics based around anything on the Forum/Wiki. I haven't really been around long enough for the best knowledge on a lot of the references for those particular topics, and I probably couldn't do it without a lot of the lines coming off as really cheesy or using too much dumb symbolism. This is certainly an idea well worth exploring for those who can do it, though - it'll be AWESOME when it's done. |

I choose "You know we have a wiki, right?" Do I have to right the lyrics right away? I'll need time to think. |

No, just post them whenever they're done, Color Printer. No rush. |

Unless he drops out, in which case this song can definitely count in the running, I'm afraid you'll have to find another song... Sorry. |

Here's "Invisible." It's to the tune of "Breaking The Habit" by Linkin' Park. Something happened I don't know who it is I do not know what's causing it But, I don't want to be the one who always throws up lungs 'Cause inside I realize that I need them to breathe I don't know what is happening No one's driving that car The toilet is talking to me And I just fell in tar I think I'm gonna crap my pants, and I say what I mean So, arg-bibble-bibble Arg-bibble-bibble, today I'm getting beaten up! By a weird flying cup! I don't know what is happening No one's driving that car The toilet is talking to me And I just fell in tar I think I'm gonna crap my pants, and I say what I mean So, arg-bibble-bibble Arg-bibble-bibble, today |

It's supposed to be a spoof of another song. It said so. And I might try this. But give me a minute; I need to think... about...it...first... Moving on, DTP that song was incredible. |

Invisible, Invisible Someone must be invisible Invisible, Invisible AAAARRRGGGBLLLBLBLBLBL!!! What the crap is happening? It's making me throw up a lung There's no one driving that car, Someone took my chocolate bar, And to top all of that, and make you drop your pop tart, I was in the elavator and smelled a fart It wasn't mine, That's out of line! 'Cause I was the only one there I swear! Invisible, Invisible Someone must be invisible Invisible, Invisible AAAARRRRGGGBLLLBLBLBLBL!!! I might make it longer. Good, but check the rules- what existing song or melody is this based off? |

I'll do Top of the Page Dance! I'll do it nine times. To an obscure song that I doubt any of you know. "Student Driver" by Stellar Kart? EDIT: Here it is! Verse 1: Two hands on my awesome keyboard Sweat running down my forehead Waiting for the page's posts to pile up I don't know what danger lies ahead Chorus: (All together now!) 'Cause I wanna do a TOTPD and that stands for Top of The Page Dance (two beats) 'Cause I want to be at the top of the page! Verse 2: Looks like it's almost time to submit Oh crap, I simul-posted Quickly, I edit my post to be a great TOTPD! Chorus: 'Cause I wanna do a TOTPD and that stands for Top of The Page Dance (two beats) 'Cause I want to be at the top of the page! Verse 3: Now i'm dancing up and down with joy at the prospect of the TOTPD But because of my sweaty tete (that's head in French, guys) I'm getting the floor all wet Chorus: 'Cause I wanna do a TOTPD and that stands for Top of The Page Dance (two beats) 'Cause I want to be at the top of the page! Any questions? |

| Post subject: | Just a quick rant, then bed. |
Before I go on to some random tangent, I'd like to rant about this real quick, as it is in the title of one of the songs. If you are typing the word "Yar.", use the original (by TEF) "Yar" when you are ending in a period or exclamation point. (Ex. "Yar.", "Yar!"). If you are using the ripoff (yes, ramrod admitted that he copied me), you spell it "yarr..." or possibly "Yarr..." "Yarr..." is not the original. "Yar." is. Thank you. ANNNNNNYWAY... "Banned" to the tune of Follow Me by Uncle Kracker. You don't know how you got here, you have no way To turn around and leave, if you're here you must stay. And if you've enter the Forum, you must believe That no one when they're banned can ever leave. The mods say, "Don't you spam, you'll head to the vault. Don't try to blame others, we know it's your fault. You can't leave at all, so don't even try. Just sit there and scream 'Why oh why?'" We're not worried 'bout the way you act, Whether you have bad grammar or you think you're a cat. We just want you to know, if you let loose some spam You're gonna pay for it, and get thrown in the slam. The mods say, "Don't you spam, you'll head to the vault. Don't try to blame others, we know it's your fault. You can't leave at all, so don't even try. Just sit there and scream 'Why oh why?'" There're had plenty of prisoners, you won't get away, No matter what you do, or what you try to say. The doors will always be locked, you'll never be free. Try to come back and you'll be banned 1-2-3. The mods say, "Don't you spam, you'll head to the vault. Don't try to blame others, we know it's your fault. You can't leave at all, so don't even try. Just sit there and scream 'Why oh why?'" The mods say, "Don't you spam, you'll head to the vault. Don't try to blame others, we know it's your fault. You can't leave at all, so don't even try. Just sit there and scream 'Why oh why?'" Can I submit another song if I think of one? |

I'll probably make a song called "My HRWiki Forum" sung to the tune of "My Generation" by The Who. I've had some good ideas for that one. And I might even do the Necromancer one, sung to the tune of "Won't get Fooled Again" by The Who. I can't really think of some good lyrics(For the Necromancer one),so if anyone wants to collaborate with me,just PM me. I LOVE THIS IDEA! |
