What's the big deal? That was my dad....

He's okay, he just came home and I gave him a hug. :) This is the first big accident my dad's been in, so if it's your /thing/, please pray that he'll be safe in the future. He's been an incredibly safe truck driver for 17 years, and I want him to be safe. Thanks everyone,

-Christy

I won't pray. Not because I'm heartless or anything like that, but because I'm nonreligious.

That may be true, but isn't taking the time to type it out here is just a bit insensitive? Anyhoo, I'm glad that your dad is okay, Christy.

Edit: Einoo, I didn't notice the poll asking "will you pray" ... Now what you typed makes sense, rather than seeming a little out of place... sorry .. :)

Wow, that must have been a really frightening thing for him to go through, but I'm so glad your dad is okay, and that's the important thing. Accidents like this can happen to anyone at any time, so it's never a bad thing to keep the safety of everyone you care about in the back of your mind.

Of course I'll pray for your father, and your family. It must feel good to know he's okay, huh? :) Did he get any injuries at all?

I'm not a deeply religious person, but I'll pray anyway. I'm glad your father's okay.

Just some bruises, and a bandaged arm. That's about it.

And thanks everyone else for your thoughtfulness to reply to this thread! Love ya! xoxo

I'm glad your dad is okay, Chryssie. That must've been a really scary experience! My best friend's stepdad used to drive trucks, and he had a really horrible accident once. I hope your dad keeps safe in the future, and that nothing horrible ever happens to him. I'm sending him my non-religious good vibes. ;)

Woah. I bet he's real nervous about going back on the road? It's a great thing he made it out safe!

I'm the same way.

But sorry to hear about your dad. If this is his first big accident in 17 years then hopefully there won't be another.

Nah, he's not nervous...and if he was he probably wouldn't tell anybody. As he loves to say, "I'm a professional!" Hehe, don't jinx it ;)

Sounds like he's a very lucky man!
1st accident in 17 years is a pretty good track record though!
He should quit in 16 years time!
