Aww, dude, did you CHOOSE to go there? If you don't agree with their teachings and prefer a 'normal' school, you should object.

I believe religious items are banned in my school, mainly because we had a student wearing an authentic Muslim Tent (a burqa, one of those.. err... veils that conceal everything). So thats why we had to abolish EVERYTHING, even small crosses.

I can live with it :)

School's up for the seventh of september

Yeah, I chose to go there. It was a great school. I'd get a better edumacation there.

I could care less that there is Theology.

But we do get a month and a half off between the end of the fall semester and the start of the spring semester.

Hard to believe as it is, I'm actually looking forward to school. Will be heading out of town (thank goodness) into a new world- you guessed it, it's college.

TimTheTinyGiant loads pistol. You'll find out why soon enough.

Yeah. Actually looking forward to it. Pretty sure I went into an unnoticed ramble about hating where I live. Rich people's sub, lots of little undisciplined twerps running back and forth, snobby ostentatious people, jerks from high school. High school was the 5ux0rz. And the lack of good fields nearby to throw discus in. And the stolkers. [stalkers] (I'd retaliate, but you can't just slug anyone suspicious, that's what jail is for!) Oh, and during orientation I met a girl I really liked.

I hate that about my school too, I live in a one story house, and share the family computer, and I'm happy.

MAY!! WE don't get summer vacation till around early-to-mid June! My friends in public school started school about a week later than I, but they didn't get out till around the end of June. I had started camp while they were still taking finals.

Well, I just looked at my calendar and found out that my fist day of school is on a Thursday. A THURSDAY!!! What the heck is wrong with that?!? Why not just wait until the 29th?
I hate my stupid school district. Go in now, come out in late, late June.

My first day is the 7th of September, then we get a week off in October, then Winter term is over on Dec. 7th. I'll have a couple of midterms after that, then I go back to school Jan. 4th. Another week off in February, then the last day of Spring term is April 4th. Then more exams, then I'm done!

Yeah. I get a LOT of weeks off. And days off.

Like, a week in November, two in December, a week in February, and a week in April. Plus a ton off days off. So, I guess it's okay, really.

I'm off to college in the fall. I'm taking MEdia Fundamentals, heading towards a career in directing. Which means no MATH.

Why fear math? Until you get into crap like Alebraic Systems (I will kill you, out of mercy, if you sign up for a class like that), it's pretty strightforward stuff.
I'm starting work on my Master's in Atmospheric Science. That means a lot of math and physics (aka. Math with a point), plus a lot of programming in a language I've never heard of. I forget what it's called, but I'm told it's similar to FORTRAN (which I have never studied).. Go me!

Anyone in the forum going to CSU Panoma? If so, PM me, I have a favor to ask of you.

Whee, college for me too! (I feel like a geezer around all you young'ns!)

I'm taking Psych 100 and Science 122 on Mondays and Wednesdays, and I've got Music 253 and Math for Retards on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If I can get into the English class I was waitlisted for, I'll have that on Wednesday evenings, and it'll be an Internet class as well. I'm gonna freaking HATE math and science, so if any of you cute little nerds are like freaking geniuses and wanna help me out, I'll be super grateful.

I have no classes with friends.

Boo.

But I do have a Homestar-filled locker.

Yay.

I start school the day after Labor Day(yay). I am also starting the seventh grade, which is the beginning of Middle School where I am(yay). The only thing I am not going to like is the first week, where I know just about nothing with the school, and that I don't like the fact that 7th graders get lockers until the second week.

I'm taking FORTRAN and C++ programming this year, along with Calc 2, Calc 3, matrices, physics E&M, engineering thermodynamics and mechanics, and some naval science leadership thing we are forced to take. All in all, not too bad, considering I've taken two of the classes in high school (and have to take Calc 2 again...) I just wish there'd be more engineering design classes...

It's weird. My Basic Education teacher is obviously very undecided.
My sixth grade year, he subbed in PE. In my seventh grade year, he was a math teacher. This year, my eighth grade year, he is a Basic Education. I have no idea what to expect.
My other classes are: Physical Science, Geometry, Advanced Chorus, P.E. and lunch.
