Have you ever played a game, and found a major glitch? Post them here!

Yesterday, I was playng my Pokemon gold. I was walking around Vermilion city, and I talked to the machop that shakes the ground. I though about going to the poke gambling place, but wanted to see if I had coins. Without moving, I pressed start, went to my pack, and used my coin case. Suddenly, the screen turned white, and the game reset. But, it reset in inverted colors! And instead of seeing an outline of ho-oh at the title, I saw it in color!

I remember the Missingno. glitch in Pokemon Red and Blue. I actually caught it once without it messing up my game.

One time, I was playing LoZ:LttP, and I came across a really weird glitch. When I scrolled the map to the right, it went past the clouds and showed a really messed-up area.

Although this only happened once.

Wow, that is strange. The pokemon games have been loaded with glitches. You can't forget the Glitch City or theImage glitch.

That's because catching it doesn't mess up your game. It'll only screw the gameplay up if you use it in battle or put in your PC. And if you have a Hall of Fame record at the time, that'll get all glitchy.

M' is the one that messes up your game, actually.

Missingno. does cause some minor things, but M' is the dangerous one.

Seeing as I haven't played any recent (read: post-holiday 2003) video games, um, well . . . nevermind.

You seem like seven of many words, but let me tell you this how about -

I don't remember the track name, but in Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2, driving the Mercedes CLK-GTR (NFS Edition) through a certain point on unknown said track zoomifies the car to 1000+ mph.

Usually, the car will fly in this glitch. It gives you a chance to see, well, the cruddy no-man's land in the middle of the map.

I could list numerous glitches in SOCOM 2 Online, but a list of such may need a Wiki of its own.

Ah, yes, did anyone else do the whole glitchy Ditto trick? I forget exactly what it does (though it doesn't screw up your game), but I can teach it to you if you want.

It becomes "Cooltrainer" type. Weird.

I almost forgot about the other part of the Missingno. glitch where it gives you basically infinite of whatever item is the sixth from the top. I always used to do that to get a bunch of master balls and rare candies. Those were good times.

Here we go:

Go into the area north of Cerulean City and fight a Pidgey. (Although, I'm sure it can be any Pidgey.) Transform into the Pidgey and switch two of the attacks. (Gust and Sand-Attack, I think, are the two you need to swithc). Then beat it (or run away). Transform will be replaced by a nameless move, type Cooltrainer.

EDIT:

All right. Here's some Wikipedia articles on the infamous Missingno and M Block.

And then you have to give it a PP Up to use that move. But I didn't have one, so I never saw what it did.

Actually, it's Missingno. and 'M. But that's just me being picky.

Here's one that Teff will enjoy.

In Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening, in the Tail Cave, in the boss room, if you fall down the sides of the platform, you fall into that sidescrolling room below. If you have the feather equipped, jump just as the screen changes to the sidescrolling room, and you should move back up a screen to where you were before. However, a glitch makes it so that you are in an entirely new room and you can walk through the walls. If you go far enough, sometimes you can even come out of the walls in entirely separate dungeons. Pretty cool.

There's also a glitch that lets you get a legitiment Mew. I don't remember how to do it, but I do know that it really works. Try a google search. I've tried out the Glitch City. It's funny, but someplaces you do it, you can't move.

I don't know, I only have the original version. They probably fixed the glitch for the DX version, but give it a try. Who knows?

Agh. M Block is a common name for 'M.

Missingno. and 'M then. Are ya happy?

And Jitka, that glitch sounds boss.

I can tell you what it does. I've never used the glitch, but I've read about it. Anyway, it makes a nameless move that's cooltrainer type (already mentioned) and it practically always misses. If you're lucky enough for it to hit though, the screen will flash white and the enemy will be slightly damaged. :homsar:

I think this could have to do with the screen warp (check the glitch faq) glitch, only in the first version of the game and early copies of the DX version, before Nintendo learned of the glitch.

has anyone done the glitch with Ness and Mr. Game & Watch in Super Smash Bros. Melee? You need to use Mr. Game & Watch's down B move to absorb three fullly charged PK flashes. Then you put Ness's shield on and make Mr. Game & Watch unleash his down B while he's standing right next to Ness. Mr. Game & Watch will fly off the opposite side of the screen and kill anything in his way.

The only glitches I ever find are the ones that let you see into the heads of the hero, or let you see through walls to the empty void. Nothing great.

Let's not forget the uuber-classic Metroid glitch!! :bubs:

When you're in that corridor, and you keep bomb-jumping up thru the wall, and then you go higher and higher, and then you see doors that don't lead anywhere.. it was a lot of work and then you just kept going and eventually got stuck. But it was awesome!!!

Eldiran and I were playing SSBM a while back. I was Link and he was Marth. We started a game in Brinstar Depths. Those of you who play the game know that that is a pretty thick level. Like, really thick. It said "Start" and I started to walk towards him. Then I fell through the level and died. Literally through. Link just disappeared for a second and then reappeared down at the bottom and died. If Eldiran wasn't there to see it, I don't think anyone would believe me. We tried to duplicate it, but it never worked.

I remembered that glitch.

anyways, back on topic. In Mechwarrior 2: The Clans, when you shut down your mech close to a wall while your mech is moving close to a wall in the Enclosed arena, your mech will go through that wall.

what else, oh oh oh... I know about this glitch, in Starfox Adventures, when you pause while Tricky laughs, Tricky's Polygons are messed up

Well, since no one's mentioned the famous Swordless trick in Ocarina of Time, I guess I will. This will only work if you have an early version of the game- one with a gold cartridge, or very rarely an early grey cartridge. When you are about to fight Ganon (final form), save and quit after he knocks your sword away. You'll restart in the Temple of Time with no sword. But the cooler part is that you can now use items while riding Epona. But I don't know how to get the sword back....
Hundreds of user-submitted Zelda glitches can be found here.
