But seriosuly. Jon Stewart was great(and yeah, he was the fourth male role in Death To Smoochy :p ). I liked what he said about Bjork not being able to come because she was trying on her dress and Dick Cheyney shot her. :p

One problem with that joke. He was trying to shoot a bird when he hit that dude.. The safe thing to do around him would be to dress like a bird.

I liked the comment Jon Stewart made after the 3-6 Mafia won for Best Original Song.

"3-6 Mafia: 1, Martin Scorsese: 0"

Wow. Talk about a low blow. So low, it even hurts me.

Agreed, but I still laughed my butt off.

I thought the awards went pretty well this year. I like it when the little movie no one really mentions beats out the film(s) that every critic claims is going to win for Best Picture.

I saw Crash a few weeks ago. That was a great movie.

I'm glad Brokeback Mountain didn't win. It was too expected, it would've been too much of an anticlimax.

It was a pretty good one this year.

Yeah, I coppied and pasted that. Lot's of them were pretty predictable, but Crash winning shcoked me  Jon Stewert was funny. :p

Philip Seymour Hoffman won a well deserved Oscar. I saw Capote over the weekend and he was phenomenal

Eh, I kind of disagree with you there, Jitka. If it won, yeah, it was predictable. But just because it would have been predictable doesn't mean that it didn't deserve to win. (Which I know isn't your point, but that's the vibe I'm getting from your post)

I couldn't really judge the Oscars (didn't see enough movies), but I will say it had it's moments, like when Ben Stiller came out in that green unitard.

Ben Stiller was really funny, along with this in the opening:

"Sorry, but I have to spend time with the kids. Y'know, to make sure they don't grow up weird."
"Sorry, but I have to spend time with Steve Martin's kids. Y'know, to make sure they don't grow up weird."

:p

Jon Stewart ruled.

I liked the opening. "I gotta take care of Steve Martin's kids... you know, so they don't grow up weird." :D

King Kong got all the technical achievement awards, and Brokeback Mountain won everything else. :P

I was surprised at the number of techincal awards Memoirs of a Geisha got, like Art Direction, Costume Design, etc... It kind of adds up to what I've been hearing about the movie, not very good but it looks pretty.

You know, since I hate rap, I was really rooting for that song to lose. Of course, then I actually heard all three songs and that was easily the best one.
