It bothered me to no end.Is it just me or should overtime losses not count as a stat? But wait a second. There shouldn't be a fourth number, since ties (the original second number) are no longer allowed. |

Wins - Losses - Overtime Losses - Shootout Losses Or something like that. (I have no idea which order they're in) EDIT~ On NHL.com there's only 3.

The Bruins got their first win last night. 7-6 over the Pens. I guess this is the kind of high-scoring game the NHL bigwigs wanted, eh? |

If Toronto wins, Montreal will be first in the eastern conference. |

Well, I'm happy for all the hockey fans to have their sport back. Personally, I only like the fights. |

So yesterday, I went to a fight, and a hockey game broke out! Ottawa in Montreal tomorrow.

Hate to tell you, hockey is pure violence. It wasn't supposed to be, but when you had enforcers like Bobby Clarke skating around, it was only natural for the game to evolve to a more violent spectacle. Not saying it's bad, but...different than before. Go Flyboys! |

Go Flyboys! I agree with you. Hockey is NOT like it used to be. In any way. Its still fun, sure, but if the players weren't all mad at eachother, it would be better. Once I saw Bertuzzi give Moore that blow to the neck, I knew that hockey would be different. Still, good to see it back. |

Go Flyboys! We need another Bobby Orr to spruce up the game a little. Although I don't think it's gonna be pure violence with the new rules. That's good, but at the same time, there are a LOT of soft penalties. |

Hey Stevie Y came back last night, and he has already made an impact, he scored a short-handed goal against LA. |

Yay Bertuzzi! My hometown boy. He's from here, you know. Booya. Anyhow, I'm totally all right with fighting in hockey, so long as it doesn't solely consist of Bertuzzi/McSorley-type cheap shots. Unless they're directed at Kerry Fraser. Then it'd be okay. In other news, I heart Darcy Tucker. And the botfriend is well aware that if #16 shows up, shirtless, at my door, I'm sure to let him in. But he has to put his shirt back on once he gets inside. |

Hmm... I'm not sure what to think of the higher scoring thus far. It's kinda cool in theory, but it's weird seeing a huge number of games ending with one or both teams scoring at least 5 or 6 goals. Too much of a good thing, maybe? Also, I'm a little concerned with how the Flyers have looked at the outset. Having only 3 power play goals in 4 games, not to mention blowing a 2 goal lead to the Rangers and especially a 3 goal lead to the Penguins (even though they just won that game in OT) is unacceptable when you're supposed to be a huge Stanley Cup favorite. Grah.

I wanted to go to UAH's season opener. I thought it was Sunday, but it turns out it was at 7 tonight. I found that out tonight at 7:30. GUH! They play tomorrow night, but I'm going to homecoming at my old university. Maybe this week.. As for professional stuff, I haven't watched a game this season. My girlfriend went up to Detroit to see her dad, and a redwings game, but the the wings started a road trip, and they come back home monday, when she'll be back in Orlando. That's the kind of luck that I have. |

I don't think he scored a goal. I checked nhl.com and I didn't see any stats. |

I would love to go see a Habs-Leafs game. I could see the Canadiens here in NY, but the Islanders, Rangers and Sabres suck.

I'm going to 18 hockey games this year. Or, somewhere less than that. My brother got season tickets to San Diego's best team, the Gulls. ECHL team. Games are fun. |
