WHOA! BATTLE FOR ALBERTA!!!!!

That is so freakin' awesome, iKi. Give Jarome and Ryan Smyth kisses for me if you see 'em.

In other news, the Leafs have officially ended their crappy start to the season. If there's no update tomorrow, we'll know it's because TBC are crying over the Thrashers' horrible 9-1 routing from my Boys in Blue.

And what's up with Brett Hull retiring?! "Oh, I've had a crappy one-point season so far, and I'm not that great anymore anyway, so sorry Wayne, I'm quitting." Bleah. Gretz must be pretty ticked.

Gretzky won in Edmonton. Even in defeat, the Oiler fans still cheered for Gretzky. I guess hoisting Lord Stanley's Cup 4 times will get you that no matter what team you work for.

He's called "The Great One" for a reason, and it's not cus he pulled that name out of a hat at a frat party.. The true measure of greatness of an athlete is how well known that athlete is known outside of the sport (because of their skills, not their off field/court/ice/pitch/track activities).

I don't think you meant to have 'not' in there.

Yeah. Part of my absence was due to having attended the Leafs-Sens game last Saturday (yes, the one we lost horribly). But it was still super fun, since I had never been to an NHL game before. And I went to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Getting a bit of tongue action with Lord Stanley's Cup. I bet it was a year the Leafs won. :p

Were you just first basin' it with that Stanley Cup?
Funny stuff!

I didn't know they'd let people near that thing. Awesome!

Swapping saliva with all the hockey players who've kissed that thing? That's not very lady like. Seriously though, cool, c-o-o-l cool.

Rofflage. Who wouldn't want to lick Lord Stanley's Cup? :P

The Bruins haven't been doing too well this year, 'specially in the overtime/shootout.

After 2 wins? Dude, the Penguins are in 25th out of 30 in the league. They do have Crosby, Lemieux, and Palffy, but I don't think that they getting close to the finals this year.

My Habs are one point out of first in their division, and the Leafs are in the cellar. :)

The Penguins beat the Habs last night. Sidney Crosby made the game winning goal. It ended a five game winning streak. They are still in first with a two point lead over Ottawa.

Agh. The Bruins haven't been playing well at all. The losing in overtime has to stop. And the losing to their own division has to stop as well.

Luckily, the B's aren't too far back. They were third in the Northeast.

You're complaining about the bruins playing bad? I'm not much of a hockey fan, or care, but the Blues SUCK! They have a 10 game losing streak and have had like one lead since october 29. No point in watching.

Don't they have the current longest streak of most conescutive playoff appearances? If so, that might be in jeopardy now...

Wow, the Flyers are just SMOKING hot right now. I know it's early, but they're giving me quite a reason to be excited after what looks like a lost Eagles season. *adds T.O. to his 'top 10 people that should be punched in the face' list*

Yeah, they do, like-25/26 years or something. If you don't make the playoffs in the NHL, you're pretty bad

I know, well at least the Habs are still in first. I am a Habs fan BTW. I'm civilized though. :)

Alright, teasing is all in good fun. I'll be doing my fair share. Besides, I really have no beef with the Habs. It's Philly and Ottawa that I hate.

Ace, I have a question. What was the Bruins Front office thinking when they decided to trade away Joe Thornton? Wasn't he your best player?

So, who's the beast of the east?

Well, if it still went by win percentage, the Flyers....but as it stands now, those DANGNABBIT Rangers are getting in the way with their points and such!

Actually, Ottawa is the best in the East right now.

I have no idea what they were thinking. Joe might not have been the best, but he was certainly a huge asset to the B's.

Pretty much all Bruins fans are peeved right now. This is possibly the worst deal I've ever seen.

Ah, Ottawa. It pains me to admit they rock right now. Damn you, Heatley. Why does he have to be so hot right now.

I'm peeved that the Sens knocked the Habs out of first.

Well, it doesn't help that the Habs hadn't been playing their best the last few weeks.
