Ah, Nintendo, how I love thee. I can't wait until Super Smash Bros. Online... *drools*

All will know the wrath or Dr. Mario and his mighty medications. I will make all of you healthy! Mwahaha!

Of course, much like the transition from N64 to Gamecube, some characters will be inevitably butchered. I just pray this doesn't happen to any of the ones I'm accustomed to using. I should hate to see Falco be subjected to the same torment that Ness and Kirby must have undergone.

(They suck now. In my hands, at least.)

Anywhose, I am definitely going to get my paws on a Revolution the moment they become available. I just hope I can route a cable cord up to the attic where my consoles are located... unless the Revolution can access wireless. Though that would make it considerably slower in my case...

Can't wait.

Just so you guys know, there is already a thread for the Nintendo Revolution, its called "A Revolution, At Its Best", so if this is a thread for only the Revolution, you might have a lock coming

Nah, it's for Nentendo in general. We were talking about SSBM a while ago.

Eldrian, what do you mean by "Put through the ringer"? Ness was only in SSBM and KIrby has only had a spinoff so far. As for wireless, it will be wi-fi combatable, and will likely be so out of the box. And, even better, it will most likely be free, like the DS.

Not me. I'll kick you in the face.

I can't wait for SSB Revolution. I want to see if DG really is as good with Jigglypuff as she says she is.

Hopefully, they will keep all the old characters and add more.

No, he was in the original.

Everyone is wrong! I am the biggest Nintendo fanboy.

Anyway, did anyone see the Revolution Teaser from the GC in Germany or whatever? I'll try to dig up the link.

I, uh... I don't even know what a ringer is...

But yeah, Ness was in the first one like Kirby, but what I was saying is that in SSBM they were significantly weaker than their SSB counterparts. Why, back in my day, Kirby was the best character for beginners and Ness could fight just as well any other character if used correctly.

So the Revolution uses Wi-fi? How unusual... yet nifty.

How much online lag would be in a game that's as fast paced as Super Smash Bros, though? It seems like it would happen a lot just because of how some people can wavedash super fast and such.

Yup. One save file. But you can have more than one puppy. Does that help?

Gamestop and EB were sold out here in Phoenix, too. So were multiple Targets. I found my copies at Wal-Mart, believe it or not.

Heres all I know about the revolution:

-Its small and protable
-will have wireless controllers
-will play any gamecube game
-can use gamecube controlllers
-new controller is simple and revolutionary (rumour)
-You will be able to download games (NES, SNES, N64 and rumour that virtual boy might be in as well) for a small charge or free(say they havent decided
-uses regular discs now
-has an atomatic disc loader for gamecube games
-has gamecube memory card slots
-comes in a varity of colours
-can stand up or lay flat
-has free online and WiFi abilities (nintendo says WiFi way to go)
-is about $200 (estimated)
-has dvd ability
-dvd is add-on so you dont have to pay for it when you buy it
-launch titles include, SSB, Mario 128
-Have in works, Metroid Prime 3 and Zelda

Now, when we say WiFi, do we mean wireless internet by connecting to a wireless router? Or do we mean just wireless play up to 100 feet?

I know it's going to have Wireless Online play, but I'm just confused as to which definition we're talking about above.

Yeah, I want that game too. But it's gonna have to wait a while. Since I am still raising money for Christmas. For my laptop. But Nintendogs will probably be one of the first things I buy after Christmas. Definitely.

I dont really know what it is but there are hotspots which allow for play around the world while if not in a hotspot a certian distance away.

Also, you said emulators are illegal, wrong, only the ROMS are.

Well, you know what I mean. All I am saying is that ROMs are not exactly the same quality as their console counterparts. I remember that I played a game once on one, and it felt like it slowed down to mush a few times(I don't think it would've done it on it's console version).

Also, the controls are a big thing with emulators. When I was playing that certain game once on the Emulator, it was hard to map out good spots for the controls to make them feel like the original controller. I hope the Revolution will have buttons that pop up when a certain game is being played in a good spot to make it feel like the console controller.

The only good thing that I think ROMs are good for is playing a game you already own but want to play on your PC(my brother has SNES games and the console, but he lost the console, so that's when ROMs come in handy)

There's my ramblings for today. :)

Well, emulators are pretty useless without any ROMS, and it would be pretty stupid to download one without the other.

About the internet thing I'm pretty sure you'll be able to play over the world while in your house. I wonder if I'll be able to connect it to my wireless internet networking device with or without some attachment.

With all the money that I have, I might buy the revolution the day it comes out along with super smash bros revolution. We could set up times we could play each other. THAT would be cool.

I think the Revolution's only way to play online games is to use it's wireless device to connect to a wireless router. That's how the DS is going to do it, so I think the Revolution will do it that way too.

I also think it was confirmed somewhere, E3 maybe? I forgot, stupid bad memory...

Oh yeah, like some other people posted I believe, we should have H*R Wiki get-togethers a certain day of the week to have tournaments and such with the Revolution.

Yes, yes we should, Ill own you with samus. Also I heard that nintendo will set up spots for internet play if you cant do it at home. You bring your system and play internet there. Thats why they are making it small.

I have a wireless network thing set up, so I'll be alright, but its good to know Nintendo's thinking of ways to make this work for the masses. I'd kick everyone here's butt with yoshi.

I'll kick all of your butts with...I don't know. I'm not that good at the Super Smash Bros games. I can't "L" Cancel, I can't Wavedash, the closest to good character for me is either Gannondorf or Pikachu.

Is Nintendogs anything other than playing with a dog? If not, then I could just go downstairs...
