Okay, I know that there are some die-hard Food Network fiendies here. Show yourselves! Here's something to discuss: THE GOOD EATS DRINKING GAME!!! Quote: Take one drink when...
* Alton explains why he uses kosher salt. * Alton takes kosher salt from the "salt holder/container/cheese holder/williams sonoma thingie" * Someone on the Food TV "Good Eats" forum asks where to get the "salt holder/container/shredded cheese holder/williams sonoma thingie". * Alton appears on the screen in his NECI cap. * Alton talks through an appliance cam (such as refrigerator cam). * Alton says "Wash those (insert here) hands!" * Alton shows up at Bed, Bath and Beyond to buy an appliance and annoy W. * Alton has an ingredient under lock and key (in a safe or chained to him). * A "family" member of Alton's appears on the show. * You can view the book, "Visual Food" in Alton's kitchen. * Alton appears at a factory/production company for the food he is featuring on the show. * Alton appears in a location outside of Georgia. * Alton cooks outside of his kitchen. * Alton asks someone how they like their food (such as steak). * Alton mentions/quotes/lampoons a T.V or Movie show. * Alton shows up at Krogers. * Steve Rooney appears as the Mad French Chef in an episode. * Shirley O. Corriher appears in an episode. * Alton gets caught doing something he's not supposed to be doing (Benjamin bunny, cooking at the diner, etc.). * Alton says, "I'm not a nutritional anthropologist" or something close to that. Take two drinks when... * A real family member of Alton's appears on the show. * W appears with Alton in a location other than Bed, Bath and Beyond. * Someone says they do not like/eat the food Alton is cooking (i.e. Steak). * One of Alton's alter egos shows up on the show (Anti-Alton, Action Figure Alton). * Alton shows up in Publix! (I love Publix!) * Alton shows up in another country(?) * Something is stolen from Alton. * You can see the David dress-up magnet on the refrigerator. * During an official Food TV chat, someone asks a question answered in a "Good Eats" show (no, wait a minute, that could be baaaaaad! I am not responsible if you should do this). * Alton mentions he likes to grind herbs/spices in a coffee grinder. * Take another drink if he then goes on to explain why he would not do it for this particular herb/spice. * Alton uses his Godzilla water spritzer. * Steve Rooney appears as a historical figure in an episode. * Alton appears as Roman (solder/emperor/whatever). * Alton appears in an add for Food Network. * A blooper/accident makes it on the show. Take a mouthful of your drink when... * Alton says "kick it up a notch" (Make sure to watch the commercials) * You actually make the brined Turkey (no reason, I just take my hat off to you and think you deserve a toast.) * Alton uses a salt other than kosher salt. * Alton sings. Drink the whole drink when... * Alton uses table salt!!! If you can think of some more drinky thingies to add, please add 'em! |

What if you're watching Iron Chef America? Do you still have to do all the Alton Brown stuff? |

I think it applies there, too! Am I the only person that cringes every time Rachel Ray says "EVOO" in stead of Extra Virgin Olive Oil? *shudder* |

$40 A Day. That's my show! Rachael Ray = Teh quteness. I don't watch her other show that much (something about being at work when it's on), but it does happen to be on right now. I like Iron Chef America, but I like the original more. More drama. What, with all the factions and grudges. Plus, I think it's cooler when the challenger can pick which Iron Chef they want to challenge. |

Besides from usual cheesy cartoons, Food Network impresses me. GO IRON CHEF. AND MR. LAGASSI AS WELL. (Off-topic: Wait, there was a Good Eats Drinking Game?) |
