Anyone here of the dog simulator game coming for the DS? It sounds really good. My dad is going to pick me up a copy next week. I'm getting the Labrador and friends version. I want to get a Labrador Retriever and name him "Hobbes" or "Pepsi".

Greatest names ever. 10/10.

If I had a DS, I'd probably get it. My mom actually stopped me when she saw a sign at Wal-Mart the other day and asked me to tell her about it. Then my sister started freaking out about how SHE WANTS IT SO BAAAAAAD..., so I think my mom decided it wouldn't be worth getting.

Curses.

At first, I had big doubts for this game. But, it actually looks really, REALLY good. Like, there are puppies. I like puppies. So, I'll definitley get this, when I get the money.

Water: 50 cents.

Dog Food: $1.50.

Watching your dog (Mine's Rosie) bark at the tissue box (Seriously!): Priceless.

There are some things money can't buy. However, Nintendogs is one thing you CAN and SHOULD buy.

I have it and it totally owns. I finally get to play with a beagle I never could have in real life. I have two beagles named Buddy and Daisy and they both know a lot of tricks such as , "Sit. Down. Roll over. Paw. Spin." They always want to freak out over the bark ball when I throw it to them but they have somewhat gotten used to it. Also, whenever I go to the park, my dog is so lazy and this tiny dog with a weird face that creeps me out brings the flying disk to me.

I also like the day and night system that goes off the DS clock. I try to walk my dog every half hour like it gives me. The dogs are a pain sometimes, though, and they won't let me pet them. They'll just get all scrunched up and bark at me. So far the cutest part of the game must be pulling out a jerky treat and watching the dogs sit in front of me staring wherever it goes.

One of the only things I hate about the game is the fog everywhere that limits on objects everywhere and making everything circular. I know the game is highly detailed with voice commands, but, come on! The developers should've been able to make the areas a little bigger in the house along with the park.

Yes, I do have the Dachund and Friends Version...BEAGLES!

It's gonna' be the next Pokemon, and I'm opposed to Pokemon. Therefore, I don't like Nintendogs.

OMG I BOUGHT IT LIEK YESTERDAY!!!~

This game is great, just great. You can have up to three dogs AT once! And like Pokemon, for each version there are different items and dogs. I got the daschund one because it has golden retreivers and siberian huskies. To add to the AWEXOME gameplay, there are even secret dogs and items to find! I'm still looking for the RC Mario Kart. You can walk your dog, meet other dogs, enter in competitions, and to top it all off: YOUR DOG POOPS!

I got a Siberian Husky and named him "Absolut", for obvious reasons. And the best part is, depending where you buy it, you get a nintendogs promo! I got a special Target/Nintendogs DS leash because I bought mine at Target.

EDIT: Oh, and for the people with the sick minds out there, you can abuse your dog. But I would never hurt Absolut.

Anyhoo... I might get this, because I'm a tool that likes everything cute and fluffy. Though I already have a REAL dog. I can see it now..

Syrius: *needs food*

KN: Shut up, I'm playing with my dog!

That gets a big YEAH RIGHT. Nintendogs could NEVER replace Pokemon just because it has 3 versions. After all, they couldn't just combine all 18+ breeds into one game. Not enough game space.

Also, they probably won't release many more Nintendogs games, probably stuff like Nintencats or other virtual pet games.

In short, Nintendogs does not equal Pokemon.

Every Nintendogs version contains all 18 dogs. They just start out with different dogs. When you have enough trainer points, your kennel unlocks more dogs. Also, this can't replace pokemon, never. There is also another Nintendogs version coming out supposidely called Nintendogs: Holiday Edition. There is no news on it yet except for the fact that it's on IGN.

Now I'm not -that- type of fanboy to be mad at someone who gets a different system. I'm more of a good nintendo fan who respects other people's opinions but not a true cold fanboy. :)

EDIT-

Actually, the DS runs off a type of flash card so 128 megabytes is just the regular for the system. If the developpers wanted to, they could put a game on a 256 megabyte card or higher. It would just cost more to produce.

**stab**

If I had a DS, I'd get the Labrador version. Labs are irresistable (sp).

Heck no! Average DS Cards are 4 times the size of an average N64 game, or 128 megabytes. Thanks to compression technology, there can be many Playstation sized games that can fit on a DS card, though.

Probably because I HATE dogs.

To tell you the truth, I'm not really sure if I want Nintendogs(Don't kill me!). I don't really like the concept of it. I may get it eventually after a wait.

I just found out that one of my Beagles has an act for disc competitions. She seems to catch really well and she's barely had any disc experience.

This game is cool - I rented the Labrador one for my DS. I loe all the features of the DS in general - its really revolutionized the handheld gaming.

Favorites:
Metroid Prime DEMO
Super Mario 64 DS

Looking Forward To:
Animal Crossing DS
New Super Mario Bros.
Mario Party/Mario Kart/Super Smash. Bros (all Mario novelty series) DS

I feel like I'm the only person in the universe who thinks a game about doing mundane tasks like feeding a dog is the most boring idea ever. Harvest Moon is boring, The Sims is boring, and Nintendogs looks really boring.
