So one of our most treasured holidays is our Labor Dabor. I plan to see the festivities and go to some kinda party. What are your plans this year?

Same thing I do every year. Have a board game olympics with my family and run around in circles screaming, "SCHOOL IS TOMORROW. SUMMER IS GONE!!!!!"

I'll just sit around and be a waste of a life. What I always do on Labor Day. Unfortunately, Labor Day is before I go back to school, so I have one less holiday off! Whaaaa!

My sister came home for the first time since May, when she left for Germany, so, we will be having all the relatives down to celebrate, and have (probably) a birthday/holiday celebration, since my birthday is so close.

I'll probably get everything together for school (starts the day after the ol' Labour Dabour) and then do the same thing I do every day, or rather, what I've done every day this summer.

Oh, and a few watchings of the Labour Dabour cartoons will be in order. But of course.

I'm planning on enjoying more than one day off in a row. Yes, Mondays are my usual day off, but I'm planning on taking Tuesday, and maybe even Wednesday off as well.

Working on homework... A lot of homework..
I plan on spending 10-15 hours in NSSTC this weekend, just working on homework (programming, satellite remote sensing (more programming), and Atmospheric Science Survey (math, and <gasp> more programming)..

Otherwise, I'm-a hit one the local barbecue restaraunts and the local Cajun restaraunt (if you like Cajun food, and you're ever in Huntsville, AL, you HAVE TO GO to Cajun Kitchen on Jordan Lane. The Jambalaya is out of this world!)

I may grill some chicken or something, but I dunno. Depends on what kinda time I have.

Labor Day usually isn't too exciting for me, though this year at least I'll most likely be at open mic, which should add some excitement. Hopefully that makes up for whatever boring picnics I'll be at during the rest of the day.

I'm not doing anything today, but I did stuff for Labor Day yesterday. Went up to Lake Erie, then to Johnson's Island to look at stuff, then to Lakeside, which is the awesomest place ever, then me and my sister saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory there, then we played shuffleboarding- which is not some stupid game that only old weak people play. 'Tis fun. And of course I had to draw Homestar on the scoreboard every time we played. But, yeah, whatever. Then we stayed there 'till dark for fireworks off the pier. Was really pretty, right on the lake. Then I...went home. Mmmh-hmm. Yep.

Today? I'm doing nothing today, besides some essentails. I'm studying for my Spanish quiz that I have tomarrow, and will probably fail. And I have to fix my bike. I'm going to ride my bike to work instead of driving, because of the high gas prices.

Speaking of bikes, I'm going to take mine out to Leland and do some riding. Leland has a Delta Blues mvsevm (pronounced "muvsevum"--Thank you Flannery O'Conner). It's also the birthplace of Kermit the Frog.

So I'll see you losers later. And you winners. Just give me the score when I get back.

PEACE OUT!!

I plan on doing my chemistry homework, and maybe having some kind of barbecue. Later on today, that is. Since Labor Dabor is today. And I already did my chemistry homework.

No, but seriously, I plan on having a cheeseburger or two, that kinda thing. Maybe play a little Tetris.

Turns out that I am watching fires burn.
Yeah, there's a brush fire behind my house, and we evacuated. And came back, because it cleared up a little. The cause of the fire is unknown, and it happened right after my cousins came down to party.
We smelled smoke, and I was like "No, it's not fire, Dad's on the barbie."
I look at the window, and you would not believe how much smoke there was. It was scary to look at, and I screamed, and said, "FIRE!!"
But, I think the firefighters have it under control.
That's the third fire we have had near us now in my lifetime.
First one, almost ten years ago today, was up on another hillside.
Second was in 2003, with the California wildfires. We evacuated then, too.
And now, September fifth, 2005, we evacuate again because of a fire.
I have bad luck with these things.

The Delta Blues museum was closed. So I went and chilled with Kermit for a while. Rode my bike down to the levee. Then grilled some delicious Rib-Eye steaks that had been marinading in Jose and spices most of the day (MAN they were Teh Awexxome!)

Now I'm just kickin' back with a margarita. No chocolate chips in this one. Teh Yumxorz!

Sorry to hear about the fires, Ikky.
