Why do you think they but "CAUTION: CONTENTS VERY HOT" in big bold letters, on the side of the coffee cups? It's not McDonald's fault that she couldn't read. When I worked at McDonald's the temperature of the coffee was around 120-130 degrees.

Actually, the Caution was put on the cups as a result of her pouring the contents on herself.

Well then the woman lacked common sense. That steam coming from the coffee cup isn't because it's angry.

Can I get an order of TOASTPAINT?

I've always wanted to see a picture of that...

There's a picture on the wiki.

I guess Ronald's all right. I got no beef with him.

This makes him creepier then Pennywise

Yeah. Pennywise just kills the kids right out. Ronald does it by the slow process of clogging up their little arteries and giving them high blood pressure and heart disease.

1. Who in the right mind would create him?
2. What the heck did he advertise?

I think Stephen King created Pennywise. I think Willard Scott created Ronald McDonald.

Once again, Bull Honkey. If they hated Kids, why would they build big playgrtounds? And Chocolate Milk? And Happy Meals? Or the cartoons?

Well, they don't hate children, but as for why they make those? Wow. I can't believe the answer to that question would elude anyone... *sigh* It's called advertising. In this case, the advertising is not only using the 'McDonald's exists!' factor, but, as anyone who's watched Super Size Me knows, it imprints McDonald's in the subconscious so that later on, when they see a McDonald's, the subconscious reacts positively, and the conscious mind unwittingly follows it to McDonald's.

The big playgrounds-those get parents and children in the door, the parents hoping to get their energetic children out of the house to a place where they can exert their energy, and the children getting the answer to their prayers-rather, screams of I WANNA PLAY, MOMMY! Note also that the parents not only get their child out of their hair for a few minutes, but also get to end those screams.

More on that if I feel like editing further points in after supper.

XD You know why they do that? It's so they can say they're not harming people. It's the same reason the tobacco companies hand over money for campaigns against teen smoking. It looks like they're giving a lot of money for a worthy cause, but in reality, they've got millions more lining their coffers, and by enhancing their PR with the campaigns, they make up for what they spent on the campaigns AND make even more money.

Same with McDonald's. They enjoy an improved image, and so the number of customers coming in will increase, as they'll feel less reluctant to eat there, and such will quickly fill up the empty spots in their wallets.

It's all about bank accounts, really.

Also, note that any restaurant which doesn't have physically impossible calorie-to-cubic unit ratios can help you lose weight. If expense exceeds income, what do you get? Loss. You can lose weight at McDonald's, you just have to burn off more than you take in. And given the McDonald's menu, by the time you're full, you're going to have a lot of physical activity ahead of you.
