It looks like a cloud. But it's too round to be a cloud. Oh noes! The aliens are coming!... Ok, maybe not. What could it be?.. Maybe it's a water tower? |

Quoting someone from another forum: Quote: Its a mathematical dilemma.
All of the earth imaging satellites used in this data base employ polar orbits. They typically pass over the pole every 90 to 100 minutes imaging swaths taken from 400 to 500 miles in space of widths from 11 to 300 kilometers wide. The dilemma is how do you warp them and then overlap them seamlessly. Additionally you have to project them onto a spherical surface, which is flatter at the poles than at the equater. If you move directly over the pole it looks like a series of spokes. |

http://www.googleearthhacks.com/dlcat83/Zoos-and-Aquariums.htm Zoos YAY! Even Minnesota Zoo is there. It's a pity a lot of pics aren't detailed. I've looked up all Dutch zoos, but Rotterdam is the only one that's clear. There are two zoos in there ^ that I've visited, about 45 that I need to visit, and about 8 that I need to visit VERY BADLY. http://www.googleearthhacks.com/dlfile14055/Eindhoven-Map.htm ... I think I might live here. I live in Veldhoven, in the bottom left corner. |

I don't have it, but if I did I would so totally try and find Stu's house. I mean, it shouldn't be too hard, considering there's roughly 3300 people living in his backyard. EDIT: Twoty-second post

If you zoom out more it's less distorted, since it's higher, like ed said. |
