I hope this topic doesn't exist already...

Are you a world traveler? Or do you like to stay at home?

I've visited Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and the USA. And a tiny little bit of Canada. (at the Niagara falls) In the USA we've travelled through NY, PA, OH, IN, IL, IA, SD, WY, NE, MO, AR, TN, VA, DC, NJ, NC, and MD.

I have been to Canada, Ireland, England, Wales, France(2x), Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Nice little list, isn't it.

Lived in Germany, lived in UK. Visited Scotland, France, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg (if it's still considered a country).

Oh, and Mexico. In fact, our Southern District Pastor's Conference is going to be there again this year.

Some people consider Texas a foreign country.

I've basically been to Canada and Mexico, just across the border.

I've been in so many different US states though, it's kinda ridiculous.

  • United States
  • Mexico
  • France
  • Austria
  • Liechtenstein (technically only drove through it--took about 20 minutes).
  • Switzerland
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • England
  • Various places in the Caribbean
I haven't made it to Canadia yet, but only because Seethroo hasn't shown up at my doorstep to ply me with drink yet.

Belgium, Luxembourg, England, Wales - but just for work. Also Morocco, France, and Poland. Best place - Morocco.

Would love to see the New World, one day.

Chickens are flightless, dude. It's not that he's afraid, he's just physically incapable. Don't make fun of his disability.

Hmmm...
Canada, Mexico, England, Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Russia that's about it.. Most of those were in one trip (guess which ones!) I wanted to go to Italy, but oh well. Maybe next times

Oh yeah, I've been to Amsterdam (a city, not a country, I know), too, but I just changed planes there, so that doesn't really count.

Just the U.S., Mexico, and Canada (does Niagara Falls even count?). But I've been to several states in the U.S.

Yeah, I'm no jet-setter. And I only spent a week in each country.

I've been to Canada twice, Thunder Bay and then Montreal. Oh yeah, I walked over a bridge in Niagra Falls to Canada.

I've been to Florida twice (flew once, and drove once, so I've also been to all those states on the way to Florida from here), to Mexico and Japan.

That's it.

Gah, is the minority of people I'm in that have never been outside the U.S. on this Forum really that small? I guess that's the price of living in an unadventurous family and no money (though my brother did visit Canada a month or so ago).

I don't think it's that bad, the US are quite big. My girlfriend has never been outside the Netherlands and Belgium.
(The Netherlands are about half as big as Florida)

You're not alone, my friend. Although I think I went to England when I was very young.

As far as I know, I've never been outside the U.S.

Yeah. Though I've never even really been outside the New Jersey/Pennsylvania/New York/Delaware/Maryland/Virginia area, much less other countries. I think I may be long overdue for a series of long road trips in the not too distant future.

I've been to Northern U.S...

And I've been to Banff, Alberta. It's so awesome there, it's pretty much like a different country to me.

I dunna like going on trips with family members, though. It reminds me of how short a time we can stand to be in close proximity to each other.

I really, really want to go on a road trip with my friend, though.

See if your college has summer study abroad programs. Check with the foreign languages or maybe geography dept. Study abroad is the only way to go. For what you get, it's a bit cheaper than going on your own.
At the very least, take a summer class at University of Hawaii (I know, it's not a foreign country). You spend a month and a half in hawaii for a lot cheaper than it would cost otherwise. Take a PE class, then it's not too hard, either.

In the US I have been to Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and our Nations Capital.
