How many of us have some form of eye correction?

LASIK, contacts, glasses, etc.

I have glasses, though my eyesight seems to be deteriorating more rapidly than normal.
(My hearing is also poor but that's getting off-topic...)

I have glasses, though they don't make my vision perfect.

Nix on the eye correction here! I still have perfect vision. Even if I am having to do the Old Man Dance. :p

I have 20:30 vision, but no eye correction. I didn't even know my vision was bad until the doctor said so.

I wear glasses. They make me look cool...but I look really young without them on.

Yep, glasses. I should be getting new ones this week with much more powerful lenses, which are always a plus.

I've got glasses. My dad got free Lasik through his...connections, let's say, and I'm hoping I can get the surgery when I hit 18, which is, I believe, the youngest you can be for the surgery. At the moment, I've got pretty terrible distance vision, and meh close up vision.

I've never wanted contacts. Glasses look good on me. In fact, even if I do get surgery, I may keep the glasses just because I look good in them. ;)

I wears glasses. Thick ones. Or should I say, thick one, because it's only for one eye. I can't see out of my left eye at all anyway. Well I mean, I'm not totally blind in that eye, but pretty close. I can only dimly perceive colours.

I don't have anything, but everyone in my family has glasses.

And this may be a bit off topic, but I can jiggle my eyes back and forth really fast!

I've been wearing glasses since last July; I'm nearsighted. Here's a pic of my glasses:

Each day we learn a little more.

Anyway, I will probably need glasses in the upcoming years. Everyone in my family got glasses at about the age of fourteen. Ah, I can't wait until then. I'll look uber-awesome.

To clarify, it's a rare condition called a coloboma, which means the iris was not fully formed before birth. Wikipedia knows. It also means I have no depth perception. You know what freaks me out every time I think about it? I have no idea what the world looks like to everyone else.

DG, I am the exact opposite of you. I was blessed with 20/10 vision.

I used to have glasses (till 4th or 5th grade) but I started at such an early age, they corrected themselves. Very lucky.

I have the Glasses and Contacts. I usually wear the contacts for days I work, so my glasses won't get all full of crap. On days I don't work or too lazy, I wear my glasses.

I started wearing glasses a couple years ago, since it was recommended I wear them while driving. That's usually the only time I do, though.

Well, I suppose you could go into a small room and memorize the exact distance of everything from you. Then you'd know the depth of the room. And that's what it's like for everyone else, except it comes automatically. Yeah... I'm not so sure if that would work.

I started wearing glasses when I was in 5th grade. I didn't like it very much and by 7th grade I stopped wearing them. My vision didn't get any better, but I just sat up closer to the front or stopped taking notes and stumbling.

When I turned 16 I kept my glasses in the car and only wore them when driving. I wasn't able to talk my parents into letting me get contacts, because they were sure that I would just lose them. I had a tendency to lose pretty much everything back then.

When I was 19 or 20, I decided I didn't care if I looked like a dork, and started wearing glasses full time. I actually started to like the way I looked with glasses, and began wearing them all the time.

When I was 21, and still on my parents' insurance, they offered to get me contacts, and that's what I've been wearing pretty much full time since then. Now I don't even have glasses that are the right prescription anymore, though I hope to remedy that sooner or later.

This was posted a long time ago, but I'm sure nobody cares. Anyways I wear contacts! Wasn't too big of a fan for the glasses.

Me = Glasses, but my Vision Without Them = 20/25.

Needless to say, I never wear the dang things.

EDIT: Cheatachu, look on the bright side! Farsightedness gets better with age! It did with me, at least.

Same here, I have barely any depth perception, that's one of the main reasons my vision is terrible. Different cause for me though, I'd never heard of colombona until now.

Yes, I wear glasses, as anyone who's seen my picture knows. I'm quite used to my appearance with them on; I couldn't imagine going about without 'em.

While I don't exactly know the extent of my myopia, in terms of a figure out of twenty, I can't read 12-point Times New Roman at arm's length-I can't read it until my palm's flat on the monitor. That's without glasses, of course!
