Many people use 10 to stress continuity with previous versions, but some people use X to stress its UNIX heritage.

TOTPD! :eekdance:

I totally love the dock on my iBook G4. It's all convenient, and aweome, and such.

The actual name of it is "Mac OS X". But I don't know what to call it. I say "ten", but I write "X"

Oooh! This is so my topic.

Did you see Apple's new stuff? It's AMAZAGE! I especially like the new iMac; still Amazage.

My dream is that Apple will figure out that there is a video game market, too.

I think they did once. It didn't do very well. That's just what I've read. I want Apple to bring back the Newton. That was cool. I want one.

Newsflash! Apple is a big and moderately successful corporation* (due to iPod), too. No one actually kids themself into thinking that buying Apple means buying from a morally-correct company, right?

I use Apple 'cos Photoshop and Illustrator just seems to run better on the system. Well, also because of Final Cut Pro. I'm constantly working with multimedia, and the Mac just gets my stuff done easier. It isn't a fashion statement. I'm not a Funk computer hipster; that would just be silly.

*Check out this five-year growth comparison.

More than three hours apart double post is legal, right? Anyway, theres this forum over there at The Different District, and it desperately needs more members. So.. if you feel like it, go on down and join. No, this is not a "this is my website go there now" plug, it's just a really cool site. A mac user people site.

Well, yeah. Keep in mind that this doesn't mean Microsoft is making less money. It just means that Apple Computer Inc's worth is rising, while Microsoft's still much larger wealth is stagnant.

My uncle has a newer Power Mac G5. He bought it a few days before Tiger came out. I think he bought Tiger for it though. He dows graphic design on it.

My desktop compy is a Mac. It's teh shiz for graphic design.

Just for giggles, here's a typical point in my day . . .
Windows: I've found new hardware! Should I look for drivers?
Me: I already installed them.
Windows: Okay!
Windows: Should I check for updated drivers?
Me: No
Windows: Okay I'll check!
Me: No
*five minutes later* Windows: Didn't find any! But I found new hardware! Should I look for new drivers?
Me: NOOOOO
Windows: Come on, I'm sure I can find updates for something!
*power off, move to desktop Mac*
Me: ahhhhh . . . relief! And sexy casing!
*chorus of angels in background*

Well, it's true. I'm just concerned about your talking computerbox. :p

And Einoo, congratulations! Just don't open like.. 50 widgets at once. It slows down your computer. That actually depends on what compy you have. Is it fast?

If you were gonna get a Mac, you could just keep your monitor, buy a Mac mini for $500, and get a USB keyboard and mouse, if you don't have them already. It doesn't HAVE to be a G5.

I'd prefer one. It's more powerful. :P Besides, everything I have is USB, and I have a VGA-DVI convertor somewhere. Not a problem.

I can't stand Macs.

One mouse button? Mine has five, and I use them all.

Plus, Macs are limited as far as games go, and even if they do release a good game on the Mac, it's a couple months after it comes out on PC.

Not to mention that there's no Mac Soldat.

Most Macs still only have one mouse button. And that mighty mouse is $49...

I use a Mac and a PC.

Booya.

It's like having a Christian and Jewish family or something.

Anyway, what does that make me?

Whoa. Thread revival to the maxxorz, yo.

Um.. Macs are still awesome. Mine is kinda old, but it works: iMac G4, 800 MHz, 768 rams. I just don't like the video card. Halo Demo runs sort of slow on it.
