Are you a Mac user? Then HAPPY! Wait.. I mean.. Then post here! And we can conquer the pc world!!! And you get one of these banners that I made, so we can identify you. The name was Mr. Spark's idea.
Use these if you don't have enough room in your sig:
or
And.. I guess we can use this thread to talk about Macs, the new iMac, Powerbooks, iBooks, and anything else related to Apple. |

I'm only a part-time user, but I can say that I'm 99.9% sure my next comp will be a Power Mac G5. I'm kinda stuck on whether to get the G5 currently or wait for the Intel machine sot come out, though. The G5 is a really unique architecutre, but Intel is the future of apple, and will basically be a very very very custom PC...choices... |

Well, I'm in need of a new mac, but I'm waiting for the "Mactels". They're supposed to be cheaper, faster, and better. |

I'm typing on a PC right now, but I do all my work on a Macintosh. It's a great system. Exposé and the OS X window management in general are godsends. |

Same here. Uggg...So slow, and retarted. Retarded scientist. Like...crazy...um, penut-butter jelly? Okay, Macs are cool and all, but I'm not changing my 2 sigs. You know? You know?!? I'm a serious Mac user. With all the Nanosaur2, and Otto-matic of it all. Maybe that dumb cowbow game I found on Mac addict to. I dunno. Maybe. Do you read Mac addict? Hmm...I've lack to talk about stuff. Which is why I'm posting so slow here. |

My brother reads MacAddict, and I sometimes read it... well, I read it once. And about your sig - Aren't you allowed to put more stuff to the right? And... yeah. I hate Windows. It's like, colorful. It's an operating system, not a kid's book. But it's still good for people who don't have enough money for Mac OS X. Wait - how much does Windoze actually cost? |

YAY MACS! I only use Micro$shaft Windoze when a) I want to play a game created by the cool but Windows-only AGS (Adventure Game Studio) b) I want to listen to "crappy" MIDI (I like the way it sounds, OK? Sheesh!) c) I'm at school. |

You can listen to midis on a Mac. And they're not crappy, just primitive. All you need is Quicktime, and most Macs come with that. |

I was reading through the old posts one day, and you wrote something like "Yay! My mac is coming soon!". And now you're all "My dad didn't let me get one." So... why? Too expensive? |

Well, I was gonna get it, and he knew I wanted it. But when it came down to crunch time, he started rmbling about how much all the different software would cost, and that I probably wouldn't know how to use a Mac. Like the iPod Guru doesn't know how to use sometihing made by Apple? I guess I'm content with my Vaio. But, I'm still a little bitter every time I see a guy with a PowerBook. Especially when it is 15". That kills me. |

I like to use my Mac, but it is a G3 with an upgraded processor. It's really slow, so I mainly use my PC. I still love my Mac. I can't live without it sometimes! |

There's a MacOS at my folks' house, and the truama I suffered from that thing was enough to put me off Apple computers forever. *CRASH CRASH CRASH* Though it was probably our fault, upsetting it somehow. |

Classic Mac OS eh? OSX is very stable, far more so than the classic ones. In fact, all it shares in common with those is the name and some user interface elements. |

Yeah, I use Macs. I'm currently typing this post on an original (quicksilver) Powermac G4, and my bro uses a PowerBook 15". I have used Windows before, but I really like OSX better. I think Linux is better than Windows, but not as great as Mac. My bro uses MacAddict forums and is a major Mac geek. I'm not, but I like 'em. Anyway, ever heard of the MacAddict forum user macskeeball? You know, that guy who uses pics in his posts a lot and sometimes makes recordings? I'd be the brother who sometimes does recordings with him. |

I was pro-Mac until I realized these things: More compatible: Windows Usually more up-to-date programs if there are versions on both: Windows System where I won't have to drive to the mall about an hour or two away that's full of swarming people that we only go to like every half-year just to get some kind of hardware/software that I could easily get for the other kind of computer at my local mall or any other electronic store: Windows Less crashing/errors: Windows* Can actually remember the f***ing time: Windows* Easier to use: Windows (okay, so this is opinion, but I don't need any so called easy-to-use interface) Is less likely to have any kind of problem: Windows* Nicer looking hardware: Macintosh I think most people who use Macs just do it so they can not buy computers from Microsoft because being a succesful company is evil and should not be supported. * = These may only apply to Mac OS 9.1 or lower (or possibly a bit higher) and not Mac OS X, but for all the other reasons, Windows is still better. There. I went all out. I'm prepared for flaming. |

The things you starred are definitely OS 9.x and lower, OS X is actually quite nice. Also, most hardware you need for a Mac can be purchased at a place like CompUSA, which are easier to come by than an Apple store. ..."buy computers from Microsoft"?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! |

I tried OS X, my grandparents have it, aside from the computer looking nice (in fact, there's was an older model, they just upgraded it), I didn't see any reason why I should use it as opposed to a Windows. |

For All you mac addicts stuck with Windows PCs, I give you a small consoltation: Object Dock! I use it all the time. It can tie in with the Taskbar, support some thumbnails, and even get rid of the Start Menu! |

That's cool. I used to have something like that for OS 9. It was a dock. And it was cool. Did that website give any credit to OS X for the idea? I didn't see anything. |
