Ladies and gentlemem, behold. I am suprised about the pick, I figured they would have picked somebody a little more well known.

I thank ALL the powers that be for squashing the "Hugh Grant" rumor. As for the blond Bond, well, they can change that. I didn't think I was gonna like Brosnan, either, but he won me over.
Even funnier, I saw this in that article.
Quote:
Veteran Bond movie scribes Neal Purvis & Robert Wade penned the initial drafts of the screenplay adaptation of Ian Fleming's first Bond novel. Oscar nominee Paul Haggis recently polished their script.

Haggis.. HA!

Once agiain, though, NO HUGH GRANT!! YEEEEEEEEEES!!

I wanted Colin Firth myself, he had more of that Bond presence. I was reading on the new Bond movie, they are leaving Q and Miss Moneypenny out. M is the only person who is returning.

Heh, this reminds me when a official Bond fan-site accepted a fake New Bond picture, even though it was just my brother's friend in a tuxedo.

No Q? How is that legal? The part with Q was always one of my favorite parts in the movies. Hearing him say "Do be careful with these, Bond" or something similar, knowing Bond was going to be anything but always cracked me up.
Have they ever not had Q in the film before?

They are doing the very first Bond novel Casino Royale. Apperently Q and Moneypenny weren't in it.

BTG, that makes sense... I suppose it would be better not to have them if they weren't in the novel. Unless the screenwriter was really good, they would probably seem forced

Does anyone else see a little irony in their choice? Mr. Blonde Whatshisface (can't remember his name right now) apparently broke up Jude Law (cheating jerk) and Sienna Miller....and Jude Law was considered for the Bond role at one time...DOUBLE SNAP IN TEH FACE!!!

I smell some dirty playing between Mr. Blonde Whatshisface and Jude Law.

Hmmm. Seems like a good pic. I had never actually heard of the guy until he was announced. But I'm sure he'll do just fine.

I'm still a bit disappointed it wasn't Christopher Walken, though.

Sometimes, having someone you've never heard of is better. You don't watch the film expectinig to see certain things from that actor or actress..

For example, I can't watch a Nick Cage film without expecting/waiting for him to do that "psych up" thing where he shakes his hands with two fingers extended on each, breathes in loudly, and says "all right"..

Wow. This is different. I think it'll take some time to get used to him. He's different, but I think it could have been a lot worse.

I think it's better that he isn't as well known. It works that way.
I think he suits the role well. He has that 'smirking' kinda face.

I hope Woddy Allen reprises his role as Jimmy Bond for this re-make.

The Detainer: You're crazy. You are absolutely crazy!
Jimmy Bond: People called Einstein crazy.
The Detainer: That's not true. No one ever called Einstein crazy.
Jimmy Bond: Well, they would have if he'd carried on like this.

Man, I love Woody Allen.
