McDonalds Monoply thing

hey, umm.. i just got back from Mcdonalds and i got one fo those cups with the Monoply things on em. i peeled em both off, and one of them says "$1,000,000" on it, umm.... im wondering if this is a winning peice........ and if it is i pledge to donate $1000 to the wiki. so... is it??? ill post exactly what it has on it later. i just gotta get it out of the car.

No in order to win the $1,000,000 you need to collect Boardwalk and Park Place.

Good luck. Its made so that there will be a ton of one but only 1 or 2 of the other for Boardwalk and Park Place (imagine, someone probably threw one of the "other" away) and 2 out of 3 for the other ones..
That's how the game works, though. Otherwise, there would be tons of winners.

Anyway, I never knew McDonalds had a Monopoly contest in the first place. Ah well. I'd have to pay off my medical bills with that million dollars by the time I found both.

Where do you live? McDonald's only sends the million-dollar tokens to urban areas, so if you're in the sticks or the outer suburbs you don't stand much of a chance at all.

Is that true? I've always said/thought that, but I didn't know if it was actually true. My cousin Eric made it a point to get a couple of game pieces from every major city he went through, even if he wasn't hungry, because of that idea.

It was true a few years ago, at least. It's just marketing: There are more potential customers in the cities, so they stand to lose a lot more if everyone thinks they'll only win if they live in Preston, Idaho than if everyone thinks they'll win if they live in New York or L.A.

That makes sense. It's a bit unfair to smaller markets, but, yeah, it makes sense.

Even if you od get both, be prepared to answer a skill testing question. I got an instant win for a lousy cheeseburger, and I still had to answer a question. What sucked even more, I had to drive into Halifax to get it, because employees arent eligible.

Wow, I never knew that. Although I was pretty sure of it. They weren't gonna be throwing Boardwalk pieces of the buildings, but I didn't think that it would be like that.

well i live in the deep inards of the urban and drug and gang owned city of Corpus Christi. if i cant find em here, ill go south, then north to search.

That's only for Canada. We have different laws than the States regarding contests.

Ya, every christmas us canucks come from all around make to visit the sole Mcdonalds in Quebec. Pet cage prices go up in price around this time because no one wants to leave their pet penguin home alone.
