Who here reads these books? I do. Book The Twelth, entitled The Penultimate Peril came out Tuesday. I dont have it, but I will soon. It's whitened for spoilers. Two recurring characters come back, and they are Jerome Squalor(Book The Sixth) and Justice Strauss(Book The First). The Baudelaries also kill the owner of Hotel Denoument, Jerry Denoument. Esme and Olaf Break Up. If you dont want to see masssive spoilers, dont read that text. Post speculations and stuff here.

I think that the Final Book, Book The Thirteenth will be called "The Frightening Finale".

I've seen the movie, are the books worth reading?
They just don't really appeal to me.

Comapred to the books: The movie SUCKED.

Plus, I REALLY want to get my hands on the 12th book! I saw it yesterday at school!

Yeah, I want the next book too. Seriously, what's the point of hiding the title?

Lemoney Snicket is like, touring across North America. He was in New York yesterday. But I couldn't go T-T

The movie is nothing like the books. The movie, I feel, ruined the books. Read the books. Don't watch the movie.

I'm reading the sixth one right now, and it's great.

Actually, they made that up completely in the movie.

Also, some evidence said that Mr. Poe is either a VFD Volunteer, or a Villan. One of the questions in Lemony Snickets Unauthorized Autobiography was "Why Is Mr. Poe So Unhelpfull?". I lean to the ladder.

How is it too fanstasy, may I ask you?

It's more realistic than, say Harry Potter. If we had a coupla Badelaire orphans, VFD, a guy with the weird name Olaf, and....a guy named Lemony then we would be all set.

Here's something that has always been obvious:

VFD = Volunteer Fire Department.

I kinda like SoUE, but I like it mainly for the tangents Lemony can get on, especially about where he supposedly is when writing the book ("an Italian restaurant that is slowly filling with water.")

I'll probably read it, but I doubt I'll buy it. Also, let's get off the whole English stereotype thing. What's wrong with English humor? Nothing. So Toastpaint.

Yeah, it really is his wit and dry humor that makes it good. I also love the pictures at the end of the book that gives a hint on what will happen next. And the notes he leaves to his editor, how he always goes way off-subject and good ole' Beatrice.

Yay.

You obviously don't know anything about British humor. And "most funniest" is not grammatically correct. Neither are you. The end. I'm dead.

They do seem like they have a, er, "British" feel, but I don't see how it could offend anyone.

I like it, myself.

This book was excellent, by the way. An excellent study inot human physchology: good, evil and why people do the things they do. It's gone from a gothic yet cutesy, self-depricating, tongue-in-cheek series to an excellent physcological tool to open up young minds.

Then I'm staying away from the book. Does it still have the stuff makes it good? And I no be talking about psychiatry. I dont need any of that for a good book. All I need is a guy named Olaf.

Yep. Anyone who's read the Unauthorized Autobiography could tell that.

There's the picture of that kid that's in the park playing with a bucket of water or something, with a caption that says "Knows how to defend against a fire," or something. Anybody who's into the Lemoney Snicket stuff should really check that book out. It more so explains a lot of stuff in the book, rather than tell the life of the author. It's about Lemoney Snicket, not Daniel Handler :P

[size=6]Of course, one of my favorite parts about that book is the reversable book jacket....[size]

I still want to know what the sugar bowl secret is. Grawr.
