I have made a few of these things, they work pretty well. Use them so you don't have to type a whole buncha stuff. Just bookmark these things. I couldn't put them here 'cause bbcode wouldn't support the links, so I had to put them on my website. Clicky. Examples: AAAARRRRRGGGGLLLBLBLLBLBL!!!  TOTPD!!:eekdance:

Yay! This thing rules! I'm gonna use the TOTPD one all the time.  TOTPD!!
My own modification I made by messing around with it. Now THAT's what I'll use all the time. They're great. The YDKWHAWR one is very useful. |

Heh, I'm glad you guys like these. When I saw two people say they didn't work, I was like "OMGWTF TEHY WERK 4 ME AAAARRRRRGGGGLLLBLBLLBLBL!!!", but I'm glad you guys sorted it out for me. I can also do personalized ones, too, just PM me for one. Although I'm sure you guys can figure out the code yourselves. Alright,

You didn't really steal my idea, JelloB 
But I found that there is way to insert the text right where the cursor is, using bbstyle instead of emoticon: javascript:bbstyle('','text'); the first '' is if you want any text before the selection, and after the comma is text to appear after it. |

Personally I think those last two are better than just linking to the main page - it still has the same effect of saying "why didn't you search there first before asking here", but it still answers their question at the same time. The search one even tells them exactly where to go for answers next time (they may be unaware there even is a search function!) |
