this topic is to write any reviews for games you have played, retro or new.
for exaple : zero wing, you may all have seen the flash ayb video, but have you actually played the game? when I played this on mame I thought it would be one of the best games ever, but I was wrong this is just your typical 80's side scrolling shotter with wacky emenyies that come out of no were, because of this it makes you feel cramped, which makes this a very difficult(allmost imposible) game. I give it 2 out of 5.

now you dont have to write it like this but put some detail in it.

Usually when you make a topic, you should input some things.

If somebody had a game reveiw that they wnated to post, they'd probably make a topic.

Either way, i have no reveiws for now, I don't play many video games anymore.

Posting procedure:
1. Look at topic title.
2. Fufill all requirements of that title (i.e., WRITE A GAME REVIEW)
3. Check your post for spelling errors.
4. Post.

I'm playing Sims 2 right now. What was all the fuss about? I wasted forty bucks on, what, two new features?

I finished Sly Cooper 3:Honor Among Theives a while ago.

Plot: The gang is now torn, after The Clock-La incident. Bentely is in a wheelchair, and Murray isnt with them. Then,. Sly learns from a man McSweeny who used to be in Sly's fathers gang. He tells him about The Cooper Vault, where Coopers stash centuries of findings. To get in, Sly will have to assemble the ultimate gang of theives.
Worlds and Purposes:
Venice, Italy(To Find Murray and sop Octavio Leaone)
Outback, Australia(To Recruit Guru and save the outback)
Black Baron's Grounds, Holland.(To recruit Penelope and beat the ACES flying competition.)
China(To recruit Panda King and rescue Jing King)
Blood Bath Bay(To recruit Dimitri)
Kaine Island(To break into the Cooper vault)

The villans all have good backstories, ranging from a failed Opera star turned mobster, to a chicken who has arranged his own marige, to a parakeet that wants pirate loot.

I give it an A.

Gee...Almost done with Crash Bash as Dingodile.
Seems like a good game.
It is the only game of which RillaRoo appears.
Dingodile is aweosmer than you.
I give it Sweet 16/10.

Actuslly, he's right. Thats Ripper Roo. Rilla Roo is awesome. But most guys hate him.

My favorite character in that game is Tiny. Smash, smash, smash...

Which reminds me, anyone got CTTR? I really want to know what Passandra Opposumms deal is. And Von Clutch, cant forget Von Clutch.

Okay, you own for making this topic. Anyway, I'll make my reviews short due to the amount:

(Please note that these are all DS games)

Super Mario 64 DS
Presentation=10 An excellent remake of an excellent game.
Gameplay=9 Almost flawless gameplay with four playable characters, thirty-two minigames, and thirty extra stars from the last game.
Graphics=8 Smoother polygon models for characters from Mario 64 with an excellent framerate. Textures are sometimes pixelated.
Sound=8 The beautiful sounds from the last game with some edited. Character voices sometimes sound a little washed out, though (Princess Peach).
Overall= 8.8
Beyond the Average= 9.2

Trauma Center: Under the Knife
Presentation=6 A medical game with limited options for gameplay yet still an original idea.
Gameplay=8 Perform surgery with 10 different tools that combine to form a great puzzle game. Is pretty long and good for the 'pick up and play' perspective, but falls short sometimes with hard missions.
Graphics=8 Textures are a little weak in some parts, but models are okay. Anime characters are amazing in quality.
Sound=7 A few catchy tunes are in this game with the mix of some weird sound effects when using tools. Voice clips in some parts are good.
Overall=7.3
Beyond the Average= 8.2

Meteos
Presentation=7 A puzzle game with some pretty boxart.
Gameplay=9 Outdoes itself with a unique puzzle-action game. Many weapons to choose from, multiplayer matches, and many unlockables such as 32 alien tribes and loads of sound clips.
Graphics=8 Has a beautiful FMV at the beginning along with smooth character sprites. Even though it's a puzzle game, it contains many colorful planets and a good enough amount of detail.
Sound=10 Rich sound quality with a very catchy opening theme. Some planet's sound clips are a little limited, but there's enough effects to keep it going strong.
Overall=8.5
Beyond the Average=9.0

Kirby: Canvas Curse
Presentation=7 Kirby is back in a new adventure with some pretty cool techniques.
Gameplay=9 11 different objects for Kirby to become; Innovative and addicting gameplay; and the Medals make you go back for many unlockables. Sometimes levels are tricky.
Graphics=8 Smooth sprites and backgrounds.
Sound=9 Background music ranges from catchy upbeat tunes to peaceful lullaby themes.
Overall=8.3
Beyond the Average=8.5

Pac n' Roll
Presentation=5 Pac n' Roll has a few unique twists but some unique things don't always work out in the end.
Gameplay=7 Levels are pretty large, but are over too quickly. Ghosts sometimes become an annoyance as well. But, the innovative trackball movement for Pac-Man increases it's score.
Graphics=8 Textures are good with high polygon models for characters. Is one of the only DS games that has 3D on both screens. Camera is simple and easy to get used to.
Sound=7 Some levels have okay music, but Pac Man really needs a new sound clip during cutscenes.
Overall=6.8
Beyond the Average: 8.0

Advance Wars: Dual Strike
Presentation=8 An excellent addition to the DS Library.
Gameplay=9 Long battles with cool maps to go across. Create a map mode allows for tons of more gameplay additions.
Graphics=8 Average Advance Wars sprites with okay tiles during battle. Has a nice 3D effect during battles. Everything else is made up for since it is not meant to be an incredibly pretty game.
Sound=7 Little gun and walking effects add onto a catchy battle track. Sometimes, since the battles are long, the music is repetitive.
Overall=8
Beyond the Average= 8.8

I think I've spent enough time on this post now. :)

Final Fantasy VII (incase you can't tell thats 7)

This is an awsome games for RPG fans.
It's graphics are completely outdated but when it came out it was considered amazing graphics.
You have to play it more than once to understand the story. It's really deep and totaly confusing unless you play it through a lot. (even then it doesn't make much sense)
The music was arranged and composed by Nobou Ematsu (might have spelled wrong, in fact I'm sure I spelled wrong). It is amazing music that captures the moment really well. I have never heard better music for a game unless it was another game done by the same composer.
Overall this is an amazing game. The only thing that brings it down is the graphics.
9/10

I think that Squarenix is remaking it so the graphics problem won't be a problem anymore

Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped

I liked the game alot, even though I didn't get it all completed.
The hardest boss was N. Gin, the semi-hardest was Dingodile
(One, Dingodile is the newest char in this game without descriptions, whereas Dr. N. Tropy was given a little description 'bout himself at the beginning of the game)
Tiny was the easiest boss EVER.
(Man, he sure was)
If only Dingodile were made to be awesomer than Crash at SOME point...

Sweet 16/10

I agree, N Gin's Robotic Mech was hard. Tiny isnt the easiest, let me tell you. Those Tigers are annoying. Dingodile is actually easy, too.

And while we are talking about Crash, lets review Spyro.

Very good graphics, semi-cool story, likeable villans, and those Theifs are cool. Toasty was easy, Shemp was, Blowhard easy, Jacques middle, and I still havent beaten Gnasty.

Yep, I agree. That was one amazing game. I still periodicly play it even though I haven't completed the game (Though my cousin's the true master at it.).

The only weird part was that when I got the game a long time ago, when I got to the first balloon guy, he said you couldn't get on it until September or something like that. Really strange.

Well, I got a new PS1 game about a month ago called Speed Punks, so I guess that I'll review it:

Speed Punkz
Presentation=6 Another Mario Kart-like game with a decent amount of gameplay.
Gameplay=7 Many weapons to choose from, a little short on courses even though they're long, awesome boost idea.
Graphics=8 Beatiful for a PS1 game. Textures are a little bland due to no anti-aliasing but the PS1 could never do that anyway.
Sound=7 Character themes are nice along with sound effects.
Overall=7
Beyond the Average= 7.5

While I'm at the PS1 level, I suppose that I'll review the Crash Bandicoot games as well:
Crash Bandicoot
Presentation=9 A great start to a great series.
Gameplay=9 Many long levels with tons of enemies to choose from. Good ideas for health and such, cheat codes make you want to play the game over and over again. Also, you've got to love the Epilogue.
Graphics=9 For such an early PS1 game, it was a graphic powerhouse. Barely any blocky textures and polygon models are really detailed. Water look really realistic for an old game.
Sound=8 Tons of little island themed songs with the occasional upbeat tones(Hog Wild :mrgreen: ). You've got to love the mask's little jibberish sound.
Overall=8.8
Beyond the Average=8.8

Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
Presentation=9 Crash is back with tons of new moves up his...fur?
Gameplay=9 Take Crash 1's gameplay and completely add onto it with new moves, new characters, and a nice level selector.
Graphics=10 New effects such as footprints and foggy breath in snow and higher polygon models to make it better than N64 quality(no blocky textures).
Sound=9 The good ol' sounds are back as well as more voice overs than the previous game.
Overall= 9.3[b]
[b]Beyond the Average=9.2

Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped!
Presentation=10 The end of the main storyline in the Crash Bandicoot world(correct me if I'm wrong).
Gameplay=10 Add in 25 new levels each with three different collectables and you have yourself an amazing masterpiece. Nice level selector and great bosses. New special moves thicken the gameplay with beauty.
Graphics=9 CB2 quality, but still great.
Sound=9 The same old Crash Bandicoot sounds.
Overall= 9.5
Beyond the Average=9.5

That's all for now.

An oldschool gamer, I am. [/Yoda]

Little Samson!

Story: Some dark prince has escaped from prison and the king calls Samson, a dragon, a golem and a mouse to catch him. And the prince has four wizards to help him. Meh. 5/10

Gameplay: A normal sidescroller, but you can switch between the main characters whenever you want to. Nice in my humble opinion as . The game has two difficulty modes, the easier one ending with a "fake" final boss. The harder one ends with yu defeating the prince and escaping the crumbling castle using all the main characters' special powers. The wizards, the fake final boss and the real final boss transforming after you beat their first form is a nice touch too. But the game may get kind of borng after a while as the game doesn't really have much creativity besides the 4 main characters. For example... There are 4 wizards, two of them float around and shoot, the other two teleport around and shoot. 9/10

Graphics: Nice, nice for the NES. Nothing to really say. 10/10
Sound/Music: Every character has his own theme that'll play when you're playing as him (except special occassions). The golem's theme is awesome. Nice style, but not very original. 8/10

Overall (Not an average of scores): 9/10
