I can't run. My best mile is 9:38 but that was two years ago. I run it in about 11 minutes now.

A 45 minute mile?!! What did you do, stop at Denny's on the way to the finish line?

Oh man. Running miles were on my top ten list of things I despised doing in grade school. I was not a terrific athlete. My mile usually came in around 12 minutes and I was wiped for quite some time after. I think the last mile I ran was my sophomore year in high school, and that one wasn't actually all that bad if I remember correctly. I might have been in slightly better shape then, but I don't recall my time.

Now...hee hee, I wouldn't even want to try it. I can walk a mile though, probably several miles without any problem at all.

Mile runs, dodgeball, Red Rover, wrestling, and hockey were the things I actually liked doing in PE.. I was good at basketball, but I hated playing it, mainly because of some things I don't want to get into here.

Unfortunately, we had some kind of "enrichment initiative" or some crap like that where we had to do "cultural" things like square dancing and tinikling. I could turn in a paper based on "Category 7: End of The World" and I still wouldn't feel as stupid as I did doing that.

OK BTG and Frotzer, break it up now. No flames and quotes pyramids please.

I just learned this : For the physical training at the police academy I need to be able to run a 10 minute 1 and a half mile. Now I was a long distance runner back a few years ago, but this means I'll really have to get back into the swings of it.
