I'm reading The Iliad by Homer right now. I had it recommended to me last November or so, so I'm a bit overdue.
It was because I was reading Nicholas Nickleby... so I've gone from classic literature to classical.

And have a very, very deep character. Just look at Sarah Crewe from A Little Princess. I should also mention I'm reading it right now. |

Like, "This doesn't automatically make someone deep." I would quite agree with your sentiment that a cheerful person can be very deep. One of the villains in my novel is a very happy, cheerful man. Mostly. He's pretty deep. |

Wow... All that can be said is that I misread that at first. Sedaris ought to be careful, he's lending himself well to having his readers being misunderstood.

Sheesh Alexander, now you've got me craving Frances Hodgson Burnett books... This is what I'm reading at the moment: What do you think, Feezal? It's for eight year olds, or something. But it is a brilliant and cool book. One of my favourites. Just because of it's cool cover. |

I actually read 1984 and Animal Farm for the first time a few weeks ago. And I must say I was amazed. Not only that something written over 50 years ago could still hold so much relevance, but also that it took me so freakin' long to read either. I tried reading 1984 a couple of times in high school, but just couldn't get into it. This time, I think it was the (promise of) love story that kept me going. The same thing happened with Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five - I started on it a few times before I actually made it all the way through (and thenceforth became addicted to Vonnegut). |

Phoo, I've finally finished Gabriel Garcia Marquez'sLove in the Time of Cholera. I put it down for a month, and didn't get into again until this weekend. I'm glad I finished it - GGM is such a superb writer. I'm starting on his No One Writes to the Colonel next. |

Oh no, no, that's not what I meant. The book does figure in to the movie, but (as far as I know) it's not based on it. I guess I'd have to read it to find out. |

Oh, and Ptomleys gate in the Bartimeus Trilogy. I used to think Eragon was pretty cool, but I got kind of jaded to it. I love Ptolemy's Gate, but the ending is sad. (I warn ya.) I'm currently trying to finishing WRITING my book, so I'm not reading so mjuch right now... I want to be, though. |

I just got done reading "The Wilding Of America" By Derber. I had to read it for my sociology class, but it's actually a great book. I suggest it for someone that is interested in that sort of thing. |

I decided to read To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee for my summer reading, and I must say that no other book has made me read 70 pages non-stop before. So, I guess that means I like it.

70? That's it? Wow. And I though I didn't like to read. The most pages I have read in one sitting is 300 something, but that doesn't count to me. It was Harry Potter, and everyone reads insane amounts of pages per sitting with those books. Other than that, I read Barrel Fever all in one sitting. I haven't touched naked (the book) in two days. I need to finish that. |

I finished up The Gunslinger and hope to get to the library to start up The Drawing of the Three soon. |

The last as in most recent as in sixth HP book took me seven hours to read. Seven hours. In that same amount of time, I typed 11 pages in my book. Yikes, huh? |
