Yeah, I actually don't plan to get a 360. I'm waiting for the PS3 and Revolution. Those'll be good.

In my opinion, they rushed the 360. Microsoft got scare at the fact that the PS3 was coming out so close to the 360 that they bumped up the release date. Now they have a system but no games. They were going to release the 360 around the time of Halo 3.

And then what did Sony do? They wisely bumped it back to around when the Revo is coming out. I barely ever praise Sony, but that was shrewd businessmanship. Then agian, Sony doesn't have built in online play*. Bad move.

360 is just crap, they gave it curves and a few memory, speed and graphics updates, it's not all that different from the Xbox. The PS3 has EVERYTHING better. EVERYTHING. Case closed.

All right, so it sort of is. But at least I have the dignity to call myself a fan instead of a fanboy.

So, back on topic, the 360 isn't even out yet, dark guy. If I were to buy it, it would be out of depression anyway since Micro$oft gives you the option of the cheaper bare-bone minimum or the high-end crazy one. Knowing my habbit of buying DS games, the second one wouldn't be an option.

I'm not saying the 360 is a bad thing, though. It's okay, just not the right system for me.

Hey! I think the X-box is a good system! The only major problem is the staggering price tag (I bought my fist, and only, Car with less then that!)

If you look at the actual facts for each system, they each have strong and weak points. Like Nintendo usually is good for a younger audience. Sony makes theirs for Nerds and Geeks. Microsoft makes their stuff for the "snotty cool" croud. But they're all good.

Yes, I do agree, all companies and systems have their weak and strong points. To me, they all have the problem of not delivering casual gameplay at an affordable price. But, all systems are going to have a run for the money this generation what-with the price of making games tidal waving to incredible amounts.

That's why I went out and got an Atari Flashback 2. 40 games for 40 bucks. Sweet deal (plus they're the old school games, so they're a tad harder then most of todays games).

The XBOX 360 was a rushed system. But when you compare the Armored Core: 4 on Xbox 360 and Armored Core: 4 on PS3 they both have their strong points. Not saying I'm gonna buy a 360, I'm saving for a PS3. But there is no way, after wasting 200 bucks on a Gamecube, that I will buy the revoluion. THE CONTROLERS LOOK LIKE FREAKIN CALIECOVISIONS!

I heard today on the radio that the $300 360 can't play the old X-Box games, and the supped up one can only play some of the old games. Is any of that true? I also heard that the graphics are great for the 360, if you have a high-def TV. They apperently look like crap on older, regular TVs. If that's true, I'll just go and get an original X-Box for really cheap.

I have a PS2. I use it to play mostly DVDs as I tend to suck at video games. The only two games that I own AND play are Galaga (well, Namcomuseum, but I bought it FOR the Galaga...still suck at Pacman tho) and Soul Calibur III (which I got on...Sunday last). However, I shall start borrowing games from my gaming boyfriend soon (I wanna finish that game of Dragon Quest VIII I started).

Oh. Um. Anyway. As for teh X-box 360, there's a kid in my drawing class at college who works at some game store. There's a shortage of 360s, so the store only got like 34 of 'em when they had around 50 preorders. This can't end well. Especially since he was talking about prancing about behind the locked glass doors with a 360 box while people wait outside, and "accidentally" dropping the keys.
I'll let you know if he's alive tomorrow.

And remember, Namco loves you!

I'm pretty sure you need the hard drive to emulate original Xbox games, so yeah. But don't buy the $300 version anyway, it's a complete ripoff.

This is my oppinion in the xbox 360:

The system itself is pretty good, but there are hardly any games out yet. I think in their attempt to get ahead of Nintendo and Sony. Microsoft released it too early. I think that it'll end up like the Dreamcast. It too was released too early and failed horrably.

EXACTLY. My main beef with most other consoles that weren't a playstation, wa the controlelrs. I would of gotten an XBOX if it had a better controller, same with N64 (back in '98). I've held a model of the PS3 controllers and they aren't bad at all.

Well, that's one of the problems I've always had with Sony. NO innovation on the controller. While Nintendo's innovations are indeed annoying sometimes, at least it's something new and improved. I'd rather get a new controller than the same one every single update.

That way, just because it has a unique controller, doesn't mean third party companies won't be able to make games for it.

Well if those were the types of people that went for those systems, then wouldn't it make sense that the companies market the systems toward those groups? Or, if they made the thing for those groups wouldn't those groups go for it?
