Definitely looks like a panda to me. Baby pandas probably look like that somewhat. If it's not, it might be a stuffed animal then. EDIT: {scratch that} |

That dog in the news article is another dog than the one on the first picture. The first one is also definitely a dog, look at his paws, the shape of the black parts and his nose. And pandas that are thas small are just... different. (newborn panda) (panda a bit older... look at the nose and the paws) But it's cute! |

I saw this on The Colbert Report, and my mom seemed to think it was the greatest, most hilarious thing in the history of the universe. It was pretty cute, but there were moments in that same episode which amused me more. Like The Black Death: Was It Really That Bad? and the Mike Oldfield reference. That show is so freaking funny, maybe one of the few on now I'll go out of my way to watch regularly.

Also, notice the blue tongue of the "panda" in the first pic. Chows are known for their blue tongues. |

On the breed standard, it says that Chows have blue/black tongues. |
