Quit being so rude, then maybe people will answer your quesitons. About the program, I've used it before. It's too complicated. I'd rather make a game in C++ than use this thing. |

It's really easy ocne you get used to it, I'm makign a Virtual FCUSA with it. The tutorials provided on the webp-age helped me when i was learning. And strongfan, you didn't ask any questions except "Well?". I don't know if you mean to, but sometiems your posts can sound a bit mean. Lay off the caps

Yeah, I use Gamemaker. Sadly, the games I've done in the past have just been tests or failed attempts at regular games. Currently, I'm working on two games; one requiring collecting germs in a POD (Pathogen Onslaught Destroyer) and then killing the rest on foot, and the other being a test of Super Mario in GM. |

I find Game Maker and such to be repulsive. Sorry, but I do. It's too limited and tends to reek of noobishness. I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole. Maybe it's because I'm the entire coding force behind my game. I'm used to doing things myself. Sorry if this came across as a flame or whatnot, it wasn't meant to be.

I downloaded it, but it got all confusing so I got rid of it. It seemed cool, but I can't be bothered right now to learn something new. |

I happen to be quite fond of Game Maker, as it is. There are, believe it or not, real, talent people who do use it, and who do make some pretty darn fun games. Sometimes you have to dig through a lot of junk on the forums to find the good stuff, but it's there. And it's nothing like RPG Maker, believe me. My current effort is an RPG, and I can say that for a fact. So, yes. My game is called Kliktz, and it's one part Animal Crossing, one part Tamagotchi, and one part Pokèmon. It's a sandbox game where you raise a creature called a Kliktz, put decorations in your house, and plant plants, but it also has a story mode, where you fight creatures called Grimli to rescue the the Neutrality that keeps the world balanced between good and evil. The battle system's calculations and damage whatnots are all done for all the (currently existing; I may make more) skills, but the enemy AI is nothing more than randomization at the moment. Also, there's no real battle animations thus far. But that's my last priority in the battle system... Calculations first, AI second, pretty lights third. |

This is what I'm talking about, Strongfan I am 100% sure that there was a topic like this, but after searching, i can see that it was pruned (Yes, it was back when pruning was still here) I hadn't answered it because I've been away on vacation, I didn't even know this thread was still active. Anyways, back on subject, a lot of people judge GameMaker before trying it. You can do more than you think, especially with variables. I'm making a Virtual FCUSA right now, and I can't think of anything that I'd want to do but haven't been able to do. Obviously, to do some things I excpect you wnated to do nin GameMaker, you'd ahve to be very advanced, and probably have the registered version, but a lot of stuff is more possible than you think with GameMaker. By the way, DS_Kid, you may say your games aren't very good, but that Plane game you showed me is addicting. |

You're right ju ju master. You can do alot w/ game maker. I now have the regesterd version. I'm wroking on a super mario game. 2D. But I may have some 3D levles in it. I also did a test to see how many steps there are per second. I came out w/ the answer of 39. Keep that in mind. If you see any game from http://www.freewebs.com/flungo , I made it. |

Funkstar wrote: Ju Ju Master wrote: You made that Tetris game? NO! 'Miniclip Tetris' gives away who made it. I know. It was more of a "Wait, you couldn't have made that game, that's by miciclip" statement, switched around into a question. Confusing, yes. |

Really? Dag, yo; I never thought of anyone liking that game. Anyway, I'm going to start work on my Super Mario game soon. The plot I showed to Ju Ju is pretty good, according to him. I'll go make some sprites now, actually.

Can you try making a Sonic game??? With all 12 Sonic Heroes characters?? Thanks. I'll help. DS, you're fun. Add Ju Ju Master, me, and Stu into Team H*RWiki! Zones in order: 1. Hill Top Zone (Green Hill Zone + Lava Reef Zone) 2. Pink Cloud Zone (A parody of Stinkoman's Level 6) 3. Santa Claus Lane Zone (Ice Cap Zone + Star Light Zone) 4. Casino Carnival Zone (Casino Night Zone + Carnival Night Zone) 5. Scrap Brain Zone ( A lot longer than the original Scrap Brain Zone) 6. Duff Labyrinth Zone (A parody of Stinkoman's Levels 4 thru 7 mixed with Sandopolis Zone and Labyrinth Zone) 7. Council Bluffs Zone (Launch Base Zone + Oil Ocean Zone) The rest of the zones are up to you. |

If you want to have a game made to your liking, I suggest you try making it yourself. it's not too ahrd (Well, the game your describing might be, but it would be for anyone) |
