I learned that grapefruit increases the effects of caffeine. So if you really want to wake up in the morning, drink some coffee and eat some grapefruit.

True dat. True that. I went to bed at like...four..about. All I know is that I was still semi-awake on the couch when my dad left for work at 4:30. And I got up at 9 or 10.

Also learned that John Henry is a great album. I loves the library. never have to buy the album.

Today I learned that I like to knit, but I don't like to purl. That basically means, you all get scarves, because that's the only thing I can do.

And I'm pretty sure you mean "Boohbah," Noidy-man.

I learned that even if I fall asleep at 3:00, I still don't get up for 9 hours. So I just got up a little while ago. It stinks.

Also learned that my computer is stupid.

Hijack: R.O.B.? You mean, like, the NES peripheral R.O.B.? Daaaang, that little guy shows up everywhere! (He was also in Kirby's Dreamland 3, one of my favorite sidescrollers ever. You had to re-assemble him by collecting all of his parts on one level, and it was really hard.

Remarking on another's newfound knowledge: No girls in my area do anything nerdy, except for the ones I know. I am always the only female in the local trading card game and assorted nerdities shop, always. Except for the store owner, but she's away for the moment, so I don't even have her anymore.

Toastpaint: Today I learned that R.O.B. is in Mario Kart DS. Ahem.

I learned that I can't stop playing Puzzle League.....again.

What I mean is a few years ago I found my dad's SNES and Tetris Attack (basicly the same game) and was forever addicted.

Yup. You unlock him by beating 150cc Mirror Mode in the Retro Grand Prix.

Today, I learned that somehow my IP is constantly changing (I'm a mod at another forum, and I looked up my own IP and found about 30 different addresses!)

I learned that no matter what I do, everytime I fall for a girl something gets in the way of me dating her... whether it be her already having a bf, not interested, likes me only as a friend, her age difference, moving off to another town to go to college, etc. etc. etc.

Recently I fell for a girl and asked her out, but there's some other dude of course that she really wants to date and she won't go out with me while she's "talking things over with him." And this ladies and gentlemen, is what I've learned today.

It's murphy's law, I suppose.

Today I learned that there are some games in WarioWare Twisted that I can do almost indefinitely just by holding the GB with one hand and shaking lightly. This shall be how I cheat my way to high scores in the Spindex.

I hear ya on that, JTHomeslice. Tetris Attack is the very reason I'm as big a video game nerd as I am! Yup! My dad got a GameBoy with Tetris Attack one year, and I loved playing it. So I asked for one of my own. I thought initially that other video games would be "too violent" for me to like, for some weird reason, but then I got more into them and decided that I was mistaken. Not saying that there aren't violent video games out there, but they bother me less now that I'm legally old enough to purcahse them without parental consent. :p

That reminds me of a really off-toastpaint story. But it's quite funny:

I had just bought a new video game, and I set about playing it. My mom was making hot dogs for lunch, and asked me if I'd like one. I said yes, and took it into my room to eat while I played my new game. (I never actually watch the TV in my room. It only gets three channels, anyway.) I polished off my lunch while dying repeatedly, then got up to take my plate and cup to the kitchen. As I came out, my mom asked me, "So, how is it?" I then proceeded to describe my initial opinion of the game: "Hard as heck. But the graphics are quite nice. The music isn't much to listen to, but it's very cinematic and well-utilized, and it has a sort of noir quality to it that's very intriguing..."

My mom burst out laughing. "I was talking about your lunch!"

So getting back to things. Today, I learned that I had a holographic Banisher of the Light Yu-Gi-Oh! card in my inside pocket in my jacket. I was confused (how did that get there?), but I used it to replace the non-holofoil one in my deck. (It was in a case, so it was still in good condition.)

I learned yesterday that my two newest cats can, indeed, reach our parakeet's cage hanging from the ceiling. That was a little scary. Now both him and the hamster are locked up all day in my parents' room. :(
