Here's mine:

All Along The Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix
What It Is - Mark Knopfler
Infinite Contempt - Paul Mounsey
Astradyne - Ultravox
Down Under - Men At Work
I Ran (So Far Away) - Flock of Seagulls
Footprints in the Snow - Vertical Horizon
Russians - Sting
Missing You - John Waite
Done With Bonaparte - Mark Knopfler
Chacone - Francesco Corbetta

Now I look at the list, it strikes me that it's freaking weird.

Something,
Never Get Over You,
In Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea,
By George Harrison

Any song by The Beatles (Except Revolution Number 9)

And some other stuff that I am too lazy to mention.

It really isnt fair to ask what the best song ever is. There are too many great ones.

I said anything by the Beatles! Duh! Jeez! God!
Of course Here Comes The Sun is in there.

Yeah, okay. Anything written by George Harrison is quite brilliant.

Continuing that line of thought, right now my best song ever is "Can't Buy Me Love." I really want to hear a nice, jazzy cover of this somewhere. I did hear a cover of it once, but it was weird and big-band-like. Not saying that big band is bad, but it didn't fit the song at all.

Two words: Bohemian Rhapsody.

Oh, and Black Friday Rule, by Flogging Molly. You really have to hear it.

Piano Man-Billy Joel

Boulevard of Broken Dreams-Green Day (the only Green Day song that's any good, if you ask me)

We're Not Gonna Take It-Twisted Sister

Shut up, that's not even the best. There are tons better than Boulevard.

Speaking of Green Day, I recently bought this song called "Homecoming". It's really good. I almost cried at one point, it is so full of emotion.

*cries*

Notice I said "If you ask me". I merely presented my opinion. I'm sure they have other good songs, but Boulevard is the only one that's really appealed to me.

Ease up. Just because someone only likes one Green Day song does not warrant you to tell them to shut up.

As for really good songs, I particularly enjoy Another Postcard and Aluminum by the Barenaked Ladies.

Ah, yes. Barenaked Ladies. How could I forget them? "Falling For The First Time" is one of my favorite songs ever. How is it I never mentioned them? I really need to get my hands on a copy of their "Greatest Hits" CD. I need to find out the name of some of their songs that I like but don't know the names of.

Oooh, if I had a million dollars...

EDIT: I also wanted to mention... their song from Chicken Little is also quite catchy.

On Distant Shores by Five Iron. By far the best way to end it off (fellow fiffers know what I mean)

I Am The Walrus, by The Beatles. That song is just so random and fun to listen too that I love it.

Basically any other Beatles song (except Revolution 9,) goes on my list.

My top ten favorite Weird Al Songs.

1. Fat
2. Anotehr One Rides the Bus
3. Smells Like Nirvana
4. Eat It
5. Yoda
6. I Love Rocky Road
7. My Bologna
8. EBay
9. Genious in France
10. Bohemian Polka

Runners-up incluse Channel Z, Rock Lobster, Is that you Mo-Dean? (All B-52's), Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen), Another Brick in the Wall (Pt. 2), Hotel California, and Smells Like Tenn Spirit.

Yeah, I'm an oldies lover. Oldies are no longer restriced to seniors anymore.

"Veteran of the Psychic Wars"- Blue Oyster Cult
Kind of a spacey song that seems kind of haunting. That it was co-written by my favorite author doesn't hurt either.

"Got the Bottle Up and Gone"- Sonny Boy Williamson (The first one)
I'm a fan of old blues stuff and Sonny Boy is one of my favorites. This song is almost always in my head.

"Drunken Sailor"- Tears for Beers
Crazy German Irish folk rockers put the ultimate spin on an old sea chanty. If you can find this song somewhere, listen to it.

Anyone who's a fan of 'Al' is a friend o' mine. I couldn't make a 'best of' list, but I will throw in my favorites, "I'll be Mellow when I'm Dead", "Hardware Store", "Yoda" (A Classic), and "Dare To Be Stupid".

I also have to say that there is no "best song ever". As far as personal opinions go, it bothers me a little to hear about "best ever"s. But if we're talking about favourite songs, I can do that.

Good to see Dream Theater got a couple mentions. Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence is a great song and Scenes From a Memory is an incredible album.

I honestly couldn't pick a favourite song. If someone asked, I'd probably say Home by Dream Theater just to save the frustration of praising all of their amazing work to people who have never even heard of them. But since there are people here who are familiar with them, I'll list some of my favourites.

A Change of Seasons
A Mind Beside Itself
Octavarium
Stream of Consciousness
In the Name of God
The Dance of Eternity
Hollow Years (Live at Budokan version)
The Ytsé Jam
The Killing Hand

Space Oddity - David Bowie. It is just a cool, cool song.
