I get pounded with homework every night, and I hate it. Here, you guys can whine about your homework, and tell how much you have.

I'd take homework where I get to learn stuff over working overtime any day ;)

O my freaking gosh! My math teacher assigns two separate assignments every night, and that's just one class. In my English class (now remember this is 10th grade), we have to get our parents to sign a reading log, every night when we read. It's like they don't think they can trust us.

Well, I'm in 5th grade, and I have to do that stupid Reading Log crap, too.
In math, I usually get 30-50 problems a night. In C.S., I get a grammar sheet, and a sheet of something called "Vocabulit".

It's the SUXXORZ!

Well, I haven't had any homework for a week now. It's been mostly tests that we didn't take due to the two snow days back in December before Christmas break.

Exams start Tuesday, so no homework there. Then the following weekend is four days, with a three-day week after that.

I DON'T HAVE ANY WORRIES!!!!

...

Except, you know, the possible career-determining exams coming up in about five days.

I have one class that doesn't give out homework. AND IT IS THE WORST CLASS EVER!

P.A.T.S. Philosophy and thinking skills. It would be okay, IF WE DID SOME PHILOSOPHISING AND THOUGHT ABOUT SKILLS!

They should either rename this class, "Teenagers-are-very-naughty-individuals-that-do-evil-things-like-have-sex-and-do-drugs-and-kill-themselves-so-we-have-to-talk-them-out-of-it...class"

Good thing is, it's a total bludge.

I've got a lot of assignments, but I have the day off because of a bomb threat. So I can manage it without too much trouble.

Oy, i remember 5th grade. Twas actually quite fun for me, but i HATED the reading logs, and i still HATE them. I'm in 7th grade, and now i get pounded with Launguage crap, and history crap. I like history and all, but i don't like the homework.

That reminds me... I have a country report due when i go back to school in 2 days.....And i haven't done anything for it! It's on Germany.... why did i have to pick that (there is so much history on it) grrrr.

I've been getting quite a bit of homework lately. A 15-page Biology assignment over Christmas Vacation just to name one.

Of course, I bet it'll slow down next week. Midterms are not too far away. :S

That's just what I was thinking with exams on the way, but guess what happened?
The exact opposite, that's what. :((

I have to do a video log of sunrises and sunsets.

Actually, I chose to do that. It's not so bad. It's like an audio commentary. The only thing that really bugs me is all this OTHER crap I have to do. AUGH.

My school is actually cool. Where else do you get to watch movies and then analyze them -- AT A COLLEGE LEVEL? That's right, with the theme and sub-themes and characterization and all that. My school rules.

Do you guys have school started up already? Everyone I know doesn't start till the 9th.

Since I have no homework, I guess all I can do in this thread is SIT BACK IN MY CHAIR AND LAUGH AT YOU ALL! HA HA!

My school has a film studies class much like that, but I hear it's quite hard and it's not a "slacker class". I haven't taken it, since I have no room at all in my schedule.

My school is one of the only schools I have ever heard of that understands what it's like to be at school for nearly eight hoiurs, then have another three hours of homework. We only get about half an hour of homework a night (half an horu for me, but I'm fast with hw) and we're usually given a good amoutn of time for projects. Some of it is a bit harder than normal middle school stuff, but that's pretty much onyl chemistry at the moment, and electron configurations are just time consuming. So very, very time consuming...

But other than that, I've got nothign to complain about. :)

Well, I didn't get loads over the holidays.. Just Global Warming research, IT coursework, something about milk for food tech (Yeah, do you really think I'm going to waste my time on milk?) and a couple of religion questions.

Like I said.. not too bad. It was worse the week before the holidays started. I had three coursework pieces in for monday and a test on wednesday.. four days before Christmas. It was torture.

You want me to complain about homework? I think I can handle that.

I'm in the process right now of writing a thesis paper on the history, religion, and themes of Anglo-Saxon literature.

And it counts as my English midterm grade.

Luckily, it's not due till Friday, but still, it sucks.

Oh, and it has to have similes. Come on, similes? Where am I gonna make a poetic comparison in a serious paper about the Venerable Freakin Bede, for crying out loud?
