Personally, I cannot stand Nintendo. The Gamecube, though it has good graphics, just has very few good games. It is truly, a horrible system.

I think Nintendo is still good. Some of the reason they do so good is because they usually stick to the sure thing (Mario games, Zelda games, Donkey Kong). But, they still find ways to innovate them some what so, they're forgiven.

Personally, the gameplay elements of their games is somtimes replaced with "innovation".

In thier defence though, games like Twin Sankes, RE4, MP, and Zelda MP look good. But, overall, meh

Yeah, okay, tell Nintendo that. But when two of their top Japanese goons break into your house and start beating you with brass knuckles that leave a Mario imprint on your forehead, I'm gonna say, "I told you so."

Hey Burnination, I got a question for you. Where do you think the video game industry would be if there was no Nintendo?

I haven't had a Nintendo system since NES, and since then I have made the conversion to Sony. But I still feel that the Gamecube is a better system than X-Box.

And that's enough for me. Also I fall for the gimmick/innovation games all the time. >.> I have three GCN/GBA link cables.

Nintendo has seen better days, but it's still got some outstanding games, most of which have been mentioned.

However, I feel compelled to mention Golden Sun. Excellent series.

Golden sun was pretty awesome, it had an awesome story and cool weapons (anyone ever get to Crossbone Isle?) My only complaint about that is that it's pretty much identical to almost every RPG sword/magic type thing ever made.

I thought Legend of Mana (based off of an old Nintendo game) was better.

Oh no. Here comes Ace and Teff.

I think Nintendo's cool. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Sad to say, but any anti-Nintendo person who makes their opinions known on this forum is probably not going to escape with all their bones intact. TBC themselves are a Nintendo-loving bunch, and so are a good majority of the gaming us. Including myself. (I mean, my avatar's from a Nintendo series, my quote's from a Nintendo-though-not-a-first-party-game, my location used to be SSBM-riffic...) So, yeah, just to warn you, Burnination, you miiiight wanna spring for an asbestos suit. Just in case.

Now that that's done: Nintendo pwnzors. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! Revo in '06! Rah rah rah!

(Sorry if your thread is getting turned around against you, Burnination, but that's the way we are...)

nintendo is starting to stink now a days, i mean, the second screen on the DS is a useless feature, just an added map or something stupid like that. they could have come up with something better, but no! they allready had that thing made in '03, but didnt sell it till later.

You're probably not old enough to remember NES, or SNES for that matter. So a discussion here isn't even worth warranting. Talk to me in about 10 years.

You can figure out that they're just a software and hardware developer with just a simple wikipedia search, sir. No more consoles from SEGA, but games for whatever system.

I love my Gamecube. I have a PS2 too, but I just play different games.

N64 wasn't very good looking back on it, but the SNES was brilliant. I need to find mine and get my emulator back up and running.

Burni, you have a point, most definitely. I wouldn't consider it horrible, but I just think that most of what it comes down to is personal preference of what games you want to play. The systems of today have more specific target audiences unlike the all around SNES, say.

'tis all. I don't claim to be an expert in any case, however.

AGEISM!!!

Wait, you're right.

The SNES owned EVERYTHING. Sega's problem was that they kept trying to come up with new gimmicks like the 32X and the Sega CD, and each time they would get a new idea, the previous one was left to die on the vine.

The only problem I have with the NES was that annoying blinking or gray screen or garbled character thing that would happen when you turned it on sometimes. I remember all of the ways we had to fix those. Perhaps they designed it like that on purpose, so that, years later, those bugs would become nostalgia...

Either way, I do like Nintendo. I'll probably get the revolution when it comes out, just because it's nintendo.

The SNES was the Super Famicom in Japan...
I remember that from my Nintendo Power days.

woah woah woah. Hold on there. I DO remember NES, SNES, and all that Jazz. I'm 18 years old, I'm not some kid. I still think that the SNES is one of the greatest systems of all time. Hell, I even like N64, super mario, all those games were GREAT! But come on man, Super Mario Sunshine? I played it, too much crap to deal with. The watercannon gimick killed that game for me. Mario jumps on his enemies, he doesnt splash them.

I'm just saying Gamecube really let me down. The games just are not there. They have no heart like the old games did. Star fox adventures? No way.

Star fox 64, yes way

And Nintendo fanboys.... sorry some of the most annoying out there... just saying

Ya, I;m going to agree alot of the "Classic Characters" games for the Cube were pretty lame (especially wind waker). But, they still made some good games, SSBM was an awesome sequel.

SSBM was the only reason I own a game cube... Are there any other games out there so good that you buy an entire system, just for that game?
Hardly.

Hmph. Everyone knows my opinion about Nintendo.

I still don't see why everyone thinks it's better. I mean, nowadays the normal storyline games for Mario are probably considered spinoffs...

In Ratchet and Clank games, you don't see Drek and Clank playing tennis with each other, do you?

Does Jak every hit a homer on the same team as Gol and Mia?

Does freakin' Sly Cooper ever get into a kart and race for no good reason?

As you can probably tell, I'm pretty anti-Nintendo spin-off games.

But I agree with Ninti. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I'll respect that.

But that's a little off-topic.

Well, it's just that I... never play games... (NO! DON'T KILL ME!)

Somebody know the game Dangerous Dave? Level 4 was as far as I could make it.
Donald Duck and the lucky dime? I never made it to level 2.
Rayman? (1, 2, and 3) Waaay too hard.

I like games, but they're just too hard for me. For real. So, I don't know about Nintendo. I don't care about game consoles, more about the games.
