Pregnant teens, people leaving class to "go to the bathroom" while they're really going out for a smoke, the principal enforces the dress code against everyone except his daughter, my old art teacher was somehow cooerced into retiring by the other staff, other things. There are likely schools out there worse than this, though. Just saying I've seen better. =/

Most of the teachers are really cool, though. Very friendly.

And on Futurama: That's prolly the case. It's awesome, but sometimes you tend to forget about the things you once loved. I know.

Ah, what a fun game. Every little so-called "chapter" of the game was awesome.
Sadly, only a few people seem to know about it and only one fan has made a website about it.

Edit: Oof, SWEARING WARNING FOR ROBOT CHAPTER!
Another edit: Actually... Language warning for entire website as there is more bad language to it than just the robot chapter.

1. Of course it is awesome. I got my freaking username from that purple-haired ninja!
And the Knight chapter that came after the others (the page for that one is hidden, the link is to the left of the game's logo) is awesome too. It starts like a normal "save-the-princess" storyline, but then there is a huge unexpected twist.
And after that there's a final chapter... *babbles on and on*

2. I don't know if they'll work. I have a Japanese Super Famicom and I used emulation (gasp!) to play the translated version.

Mmm, since we're talking about obscure video games ...

Tokimeki Memorial.

Not actually obscure since it was like THE number one selling playstation game in Japan for a very very long time, but since it was never translated and brought to the states it's got a minimal fanbase here. It's a dating siumlation game, totally clean with some absolutely adorable characters with great personalities (Himoo Yuina is, to this very day, my hero). The whole point is to get a girl to fall in love with you by the end of high school. It's SO COOL. The sequel, Tokimeki Memorial 2 is my favorite in the series. There's also TokiMemo 3, and TokiMemo: Girl's Side, where you play a girl who wins a guy instead.

It's insanely popular in Japan, but because of how 'weird' it was it was never translated for American release =/ Boo-urns.

Oh, and Futurama = love. Luck of the Fryrish is one of my favorite episodes of any show EVER.

Another thing I haven't heard of. 'Course, I don't live anywhere near Japan, soo, it's to be expected, yes? It sounds like something I'd want to try, though. I love "weird" games.

Like, has anyone heard of I Am the Chef? I got it on a demo disk in an import section completely in Japanese. It is FUN. You're basically a chef that's working in a restuarant, and you have to appease the customers and food critic. There are little mini games within it like stomping roaches and chasing some stickfigure through the city for no reason at all. There was also another game along side it whose name I can't remember, but it was about guiding a pole through some electric wires and random crushing obsticals for no apparent reason. Addictive.

And I loved Luck of the Fryrish. It was one of very few things in the history of ever to make me cry. >_> *is insensitive and cold... seriously, I'm freezing*

Also, a game for the SNES: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles In Time.

I loved this. I beat my brother at it I think. When we got into The Rat King, guess who beat him? Thats right, me! We got to the last boss fight(Super Shredder), but alas, we couldn't beat him.

I love TMNT4! I just played it yesterday with a friend of mine. It's a very cool game, but I actually like TMNT3 (NES) more. It was longer and more challenging. And once again, pretty obscure. Meh...

Rocko's Modern Life. I nearly died when that show got canceled. For me, that marked the end of quality TV from Nickelodeon.
I still have a collection of pirated episodes and taped ones too. Does anyone know if they have a DVD out for it?

Armored Core, I know I 've takled about this endless times beofre, but really. If you can ignore the shky controls and not top of the notch graphics, this game is brilliant. All 10 or so of them. The original and AC: 3 being the best. It's just to bad they don't get the attention they diserve.

My favorite ROTINOL (rotinol? weird) is definitely an old game for the SNES called Goof Troop. It has the honor of being the only game that's kept me interested for more than 5 seconds. (Besides Game Boy Camera. Man, that was addictive.) Go get it at Bookman's or if you're feeling dangerous today, download a ROM. It's seriously insanely addictive and has really awesome music.



YESH.

And that episode is my favorite episode of Futurama.

Anywho. Another ROTINOL for me is...

A game single-handedly put together by one dude with Game Maker called Seiklus. Despite being a one-man act, this game is really actually quite good. It's an adventure game where you have to collect colorful whisps of light and magical treasures in order to reunite with your girlfriend, and then you get to go hunting for pieces of a magical moon amulet afterwards! It's very simple, but I sat playing it for hours after I first downloaded it, wondering, "What the heck am I supposed to do with this dang piano? How do I get all the white whisps? Great, I'm stuck underwater; where NOW?" In a good kind of way, of course.

Studio Ghibli

Except for my grandma and my friend, no one I know likes this company. My mom, stating that only Walt Disney could produce animation that was worthy of being called "art", could not, and would not, accept the idea that an Anime film could be better then disney. I'm sure you have heard of the famous Ghibli film Grave of the Fireflies? It's perhaps one of the most saddning film on earth, my mom watched it, and didn't even change emotion. She stated that she didn't like the animation in Japan, so thusly, she couldn't take it seriously.

I don't talk to her about Anime anymore. But I don't hate her, because everyone is entitled to their opinion. And, she is my mom.

Ghibli? That's not obscure, man! Ghibli gets plenty of love here Stateside. Why, Turner Classic Movies ran a whole MONTH of Ghibli movies just a while ago! And now Cartoon Network's doing the same! Your mom, however, is being incredibly snobby. Style schmyle. A movie's about the story, man, especially Grave of the Fireflies! Anyone who can watch that movie without even shedding a single tear has to be, like, a cyborg or something. (Of course, I can hardly talk... *points to username*)

I suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I cannot forsee how someone can sit through a movie like that and NOT see how incredibly artistic it is...

Come to Iowa, Anime is only known if you are a fanatic. I didn't even know about Ghibli untill I found it by accedent on the Wiki.

Infact, I saw most of their films on TCM when they where having that month back in June. But I've caught up now, I own all the films

I'm not sure where you live Teeny, but here you have to adore anime to find it.

P.S. TCM needs to do a few more Anime months

I lives in AZ--in my city, we've got some really great geek shops. In fact, there's this one local place with a commercial that used to run that was like a kid playing with action figures, with a giant Gundam and Godzilla... it was grand... In a lame kinda way.
